Could I have been more clear that I understand, acknowledge, and have thanked them profusely for doing so?

The 'disingenuous thank you' doesn't count. You know that
:D

I intentionally stayed off Flight info while the "voting" was being bandied about for this exact reason. So as not give the perception of selling anything.

Now it's ok though ..... ?

Now who is full of hyperbole and fear? Really? I mean did Steve Chase sleep with your girlfriend or something?

The moustache tickled.

I have never personally attacked your Union president, the MEC or the WGAC (we got acquired committee). Why do you feel the need to have some personal vendetta over who could very well be your future president?

The same could be said for the treatment of your future fellow employees.

Keep fantasizing about the Windfall you think you're going to be handed by some arbitrator. I'm sure this is the only thing that helps you sleep better at night. If I were in your shoes I think I'd be trying to come up with a different strategy.

My fantasies and sleep involve wholesome subjects like clowns and sheep.
Not Arbiters.

It's a two way street. Haven't been on the receiving end of any great treatment from the AAI side of the fence. Quite the contrary.

I am truly amazed at the Ill-will being wished upon the pilots at AT. Many of us have been in total support of SW since this deal was announced. To wish us on the street, with no way to support our families is despicable.
I am ashamed of ANY fellow pilot who would wish such a result.

That is life old man. It is like watching the discovery channel. You feel sorry for the young little animals that are killed and eaten by the lion or whatever. Its life. That is the way you have to look at Airtran pilots. You either eat them or they will eat you.

It may come a time when I may need those of you that know my feelings to step up and help me find work. I hope when and if that time comes that I can count on you for support. I have heard in private messages from some of you at SW and I appreciate those words of support. This whole thing has me deeply troubled.

Skywest is buying the 717s. They will "codeshare" with DL to get around scope, and still cover the 100 seat market.

YES! How brilliant!

SWA buys its biggest competitor, then sells half the fleet to a lower-cost operator to use against them in their biggest market!

If I were you, I would quit hiding your brilliance under that pilot hat, and embark upon a career of arbitrage!

Are you talking about real people or 'board people' ? If it's real AAI people then I'm disgusted and I apologize.

It's just the ill will of a few, don't let the forums skew your opinion of what the pilot groups as a majority really think.

Sad to say

Real people.

No need to apologize. It obviously wasn't you.

Just waiting for the announcement.

It would take awile for them all to leave if this happens, and the SLI list will already be done. After you get bumped down Red, you may end up as a junior FO at Delta! You and I can go out and party with the FA's in Grand Rapids!

Godspeed!

Codeshares have to be approved by ALPA. If they would do it, ALPA would be voted off the property. It's almost at that point now.

Godspeed!

Should I listen to SWA veteran - CEO of one of the most successful businesses in America, or to some 5 year FO who managed to squeak by the interview process?

or listen to a 5 year tranny Captain that didn't even get a call for a Southwest interview.

If you are referencing my quote you misinterpreted it. The "delicious irony" would be the monumental $hit $torm that would ensue on Flight Info if the 717 pilots of the former AAI were now going to be integrated into DAL.

You can bet on this....the Delta Pilots would be fair in any integration unlike the Stapler Crew from Dallas......

Even if it went to arbitration there would at least be a mutual respect.....not the "$hit $torm" you clowns have put the AT people through.....

Disgusting.....

Ty,

Doesn't your fragmentation language say the pilots go with the jets? How would this 717 to Delta scenario play out?

Gup

Nice try Fly,

Airtran is owned by Texas LLC. If the 717 is sold to Delta, so go the pilots.

RF

Integrated ahead of OYS!!!!

General Lee/OYS,
You have no say in the matter. Your are a newbie. Just give the Captain your Probation Progress sheet and shut up. It's in the contract. Just relax. They are going to be treated fairly and all be placed above you. Godspeed!

Wishful thinking all around. So much so, that you'd think it's raining pixie dust.

Wishful for the DAL guys because they want a 100 seater on the property.

Wishful for the SWA because they think it means something for the SLI (hint: corporate merger has already happened...the arbitrator will see any 717 reduction as a SWA corporate action, and not penalize the AT guys for it.)

I seriously doubt the 717s will ever fly for DAL.
