Incredible. I believe you really know there is a huge difference between these two situations, but you have learned the art of claiming ridicolus things with a straight face so when your opponent starts a debate with you, it legitimizes the ridicolus! You hold the argument higher than the truth which means you no longer care about truth, you care about your ideology at all costs--even over your nation and (if you are a pilot) your profession. Why don't you run along and organize a nice rally somewhere for Global Warming or Twitter your Facebook or something.

Dude, do they not teach spelling or reading comprehension at your community college? What part of, "AirTran Captain" in my profile do you not understand? I mean, you are being, "ridicolus"(sic)!!

A CCDW permit is not a right, its a privilege.

That said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude the sheriff pulling his CCDW permit was because of TSA/FAM pressure and not any real "risk" to himself or society; God knows if they thought the Youtuber posed an actual security risk they'd have at least temporarily detained him, if not had the FAA get involved with an emergency revocation of his certificates since, you know, he's a pilot AND CAN CRASH THE FARKING AIRPLANE IF HE WANTED TO.

No no, 6 folks to revoke his duty weapon after this is just punishment & intimidation by the Blueshirts for quite publicly pointing out the stupidity & holes in their "security" theater. Its the FAM Service's discretion to remove him as an FFDO...but all this is just nonsense and YET ANOTHER example of the unchecked, overreaching powers of the Department of Homeland Security under both the Bush & Obama administrations...an ever-growing bureaucracy with no purpose in life other than to increase their annual budget every year.

What's even more comical in this whole charade is how, historically and especially in the last three decades, just how often law enforcement has been compromised by terrorists around the world. Despite this, how often do you see TSA staff or LEOs ever go through a checkpoint?

How ya like that hope and change now!!!

Perfect- now it's a dem/rep left v right thing? I don't know if you remember who created the TSA and all the ridiculous stories before the 'end of an error'- but most of do. Beaurocratic bullsh:t is bipartisan.

The pilot makes a very good point- too many fiefdoms- airport employees can swipe cards and bypass security quickly bc they've gone through the individualized process at their airport to get that access- no airport is willing to give up their individualized control- and noone has access to all airports like we are asking- even then- we wouldn't be able to bypass in other countries-

I understand this guy- bc we've been patient enough- their needs to be some sort of bypass for us as "trusted employees"-ie common sense(!)- we don't need a weapon, we're flying the plane- but you can't really have pilots "testing" the system w/o repercussion-

Seems like he's willing to take one for the team- whoever knows who he is, I hope he's a good dude and they've set up a lawyer fund

In Germany they wore brown shirts. Now here in the states they are too cheap to buy the brown fabric for their shirts because its more expensive.

Yes, it is most definitely a police state when you get busted after you sign a statement to get your SIDA badge stating that you will not divulge details of SIDA security and then you post those things on YouTube.

i just want to see the videos he posted..

Way to go off the reservation guy, this isn't a Republican or Democrat issue. This is about some tool pilot thinking that the best way to change things is through YouTube. He did something stupid and wrong and got busted, end of story. If Useful Idiots like you can't see the problem with divulging lapses in security then maybe you should go back to your community college and get a clue.
No, you are defending the insanity of this administration and it comes firmly under Republican or Democrat. He did not do anything stupid. The feds are overreaching once again and you are defending them. That is where the political divide comes in. Yeah, I will go back to Community College. Sorry leftist, I am two degrees above that. How about you? The pilot in question has served his country and put something back into the system. How about you? Oh, yeah, you patriotically pay your taxes and protest BP. How honorable. You are way off base on your leftist defense of how poor the TSA is doing its job.

Good thing he's on the news showing what a joke the TSA is......the nationwide discussion has started. Iron gate on the Front door and a screen door in the back.

Maybe he's violated some vague SSI laws, but the jury of his peers would probably see otherwise. I have had the TSA stare at me for a burglary on my house while on a trip and an issued item was taken. I was guilty until I could prove innocent......

Sorry Kharma....Siding with this guy now. The jackboots could send him to Gitmo based on some of their manipulated legal definitions.
