Much less than half of our planes are -300's. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Add to the fact that we own most of our fleet, and that leads to a higher profit. SW 101.

Thanks Carl Icahn.......733s and 735s are still old and junky. Good try trying to sidestep the facts, though. At least your AT buddies are bringing nicer 717s to the party. You should thank them. The arbitrator probably will.

The majority of our fleet is -700s.

No, not spotting billo- and not that emotional- I think delta is a good airline and I would have liked to work for them- it's your union and its makeup that blows- and like to remind you that DALPA has lead the charge to the bottom with all their outsourcing.

What I haven't figured out is why you guys haven't let skywest fly airbuses yet- just put 76 seats in them and give your widebody guys an extra 2%- I'm POSITIVE you'd vote yes-
Thank god there's some new blood who finally understand the damage you guys have done-
------------------
As for Swa- it is what it is, but I like my job and the company- hope it stays that way and I'll help-
--------------
Johnsonrod- not every airline is for everyone- if you don't want the job, don't apply-
But if you're at a regional- it's nutty to me to cross them off your list- your career though

That's a level post Wave.....I'll take it like that.

You are wrong....there is a limit on weight so airbuses aren't in the cards. Your timebuilding came from the very same scope limits you protested.....so you're welcome. Have a good career there at SWA.

OBTW, only voted yes for a strike vote and C2K.

psssst.....Keep an eye on those evil RJ pilots who will be flying for you out of MKE......you can blame the AT guys for "caving" and "leading to the bottom". You guys are trying to be like the big guys, so my bets are Gary brings them along. Good Luck and hold the line you RJ Crusader!

Don't know if it's jealousy, immaturity or what, but many of you guys sound like f-ing babies.

Of all the major airlines I've flown, I would give the best service to American, with Delta being the worst (United not far behind). Saying that, JB and SWA far outshine all majors in that category. BTW- I'm not affiliated with any airline.

Not a chance RJs are running for us after the operations are integrated.

Bill- I had plenty of "time" (and a furlough) before I ever set foot in an rj- I took the job available- one that DALPA led the charge in giving away- you guys were one of the first groups to allow jets off the property- and you were definitely the last to release even more-

You know my beef Bill- DALPA out of bk released scope to allow CRJ-900's in 2006 for a small raise- proving your senior non-furloughed pilots learned nothing in the race for the bottom-

I have a hard time watching you dig on southwest with your obsolete argument when Swa could really use some help holding the line on pay and scope- our group has been carrying that water for over a decade- but when it was YOUR survival on the line - (and even when it WASNT- ie: 2006!)you were willing and did do everything, right or wrong, shortsighted or not, to right the ship-

So now arbitrators need to take into account how "nice" the airframes are?

Nice try.

Ya, those 717's are the bomb. Definitely gonna win you points in arbitration. Of course, this quote from http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/stats.main?id=111 might be of interest to the arbitrator also:

"The 117 seat 717 is the latest development of the popular DC-9/MD-80/MD-90 family and the only Douglas airliner which Boeing (which merged with McDonnell Douglas in 1997) plans to retain in its product line-up. It is designed for high cycle, short range regional airline operations."

Regional contract, regional mins, AND regional aircraft. THAT'S what you bring to the table.
