Can you say asset sale? Have you seen anything from SWA/SWAPA that says they've reversed their staunch opposition to a SLI arbitration in order to settle the inevitable SLI dispute?
Good luck dealing with SWAPA. Get EVERYTHING in writing as you go forward from SWA and the folks at SWAPA.
I don't mean to rain on the potential of this deal, but... SWA was looking for larger airplanes (737-800s) not smaller (717s) and has historically refused to allow for an arbitrated SLI. What changed, except SWA's need for better I.T. and growth into Atlanta?
Of course I could be wrong, but SWAPA's public statements don't indicate that an equitable solution is likely.
Good luck!

Had a jumpseater say he heard from someone in the training department that SWA was going to sell all the 717s to ASA.

So, ATL probably won't look too much different from today's operation other than the Canyon Blue paintjobs and the XM Satellite Radio hopefully.![]()
I'm hoping for a couple to be done in corn-dog paint jobs, you know, for the nostalgia factor![]()
