From most junior to senior for FO:

GUM 737
IAH 737
EWR 756 (about same sen as CLE 737)
CLE 737
EWR 737
EWR 777
IAH 787 (about same sen as IAH 777)
IAH 777

-Just a guess, but I think a lot of recalls will see EWR 756, then IAH 737, they try to only send people to GUM who want to go and in my experience they don't typically have to force ppl out there

Wow. Junior guy on the 787 is a July 2005 hire. Nice.

Furloughs awarded EWR 757/767 and 737 in all four bases.

Junior CA Dec 98 hire. Will make SLI interesting with CAL having a 98 CA and UAL having furloughs back to 99.

None of it final, of course.

But by the time you are flying a combined list you will be having retirements between 500-1000 a year. Lots of movement.

Agreed, and that is one smoking hot avatar pic!

welcome to lagos.

Pool party.....

More like welcome to having your trips bought for training and doing EWR turns out of IAH at junior man pay while getting paid for the Lagos or Aukland trip... Sign me up.....or sign the guys ahead of me in IAH who get all those sweet 767-400 trips to the Pacific up.....

Would love to fly 756 but the pay and schedules suck compared to the 737.

Might be better in the next contract, but if I wait til then might not be able to hold it.

Oh, yes, our awesome contract means I take a pay HIT to go to training for a couple months.

Gotta love it.

I thought that didn't happen anymore due to pbs preloading all the training.

Trips still ocasionaly get bought after PBS is awarded but nothing to the extent that they were bought before POS C02.

Why would the 756 be more desirable?

If he's talking about EWR, just about every trip on the 756 is commutable (1700-2100 shows and 1100-1500 finishes). Problem is some of the short Euro flying is not productive (13.5hr 3days), so you're looking at 12 days off if you're holding only those. If you live local or close enough that commuting home between trips is possible, it's not a bad BES to be in.

That, and the vast, vast majority of the flying is one leg a day (or one leg every other day if you're doing Euro flying). So your "Newark Experience" is limited to either just having to leave the place on day one or just having only one flight back on day three.

Commuting is about the only reason to be on the 756 in Newark. The schedules suck (less days off & pretty much all back-side of the clock flying), the trips are not very productive, and then there is the lack of international override and per-diem. You can make just as much $$$ on the 737 and have more days off, but if you don't live in your base, it blows.

That's a bit of a broad statement. What base are you looking at? IAH756 is about 50% domestic and 50% international. You have to be a bit more senior to get into the base but on a percentage basis, not as senior to fly 767 trips.

Here's a question, not flame bait, a lot of us are in new territory.

Once the new sli is complete an seniority distributed, can there or is there going to be a major re-bid so pilots can hold their respective equipment based on seniority? Not being pro-mamgement, but that would cost a butt-load of money and time. Any ideas how that would work? Scenario: DEN, lots of co commuters there, but it becomes a bus domicle only and folks want to dump commuting, how would that work?

just questions to figure all this stuff out!

Take a look at what Delta has done. I think, in fact I know that once the SLI is completed, there will be a "flush bid" posted where every freeze(save any equipment fences that might be in effect) will be lifted and everyone has the opportunity to move into any base/equipment he/she can hold. The company will have about a year to train the bid and I think it can be done. I see, however a 737 base in DEN and a small Airbus base in IAH or EWR and a 737 base in LAX so training might not be required for those looking to move into a new base. Time will tell.

The Transition agreement section 5B states "no flush and no bump" after SLI. (it is good to actually read these things) :erm:

5-B. Acceptance of Integrated Seniority List.

Subject only to the conditions stated below, the Parties will
accept the results of the Seniority List Integration
and incorporate them in the Joint Collective
Bargaining Agreement.

(i) The Integrated Seniority List shall have only
prospective effect. Specifically, and without
limiting the generality of the foregoing, the
following conditions shall apply:

a. There shall be no ““system flush”” whereby a
Pilot may displace another Pilot from the latter’’s
position as a result of the implementation of the
Integrated Seniority List or the implementation or
expiration of any condition or restriction; and

b. Pilots on furlough status at the time the
Integrated Seniority List is implemented may not
bump or displace pilots in active status at that
time; and c. Pilots who, at the time of implementation of
an integrated seniority list, are in the process of
completing or who have completed qualification
training for a new position (e.g., B-777 Captain
or A-319 First Officer) may be assigned to the
position for which they are being or have been
trained, regardless of their relative standing on the
Integrated Seniority List.

(ii) There shall be no requirement or obligation to
compensate Pilots for work not actually performed
or positions not actually held during the period for
which compensation is sought, as a result of the
Integrated Seniority List and its implementation.
(iii) The Integrated Seniority List shall not contain
conditions or restrictions that substantially
increase the costs associated with training above
those normally associated with the merger of two
airlines.

The bid results are out on CCS. CONGRATS to all the CAL furloughs, welcome back!!!! It's about time, and hopefully we can welcome some UAL furloughs that will likely be offered a position!

Let's get a kick @ss JCBA!!!!
