Saw on climbto350.com that they're hiring street captains. Can anyone tell me why they don't have a bunch of qualified FO's to upgrade?

You're not going to get any good responses to gojet questions on here. The best way to find what you're looking for would be to pm cx880. He's a current gojet pilot.

You're better off staying away from gojet!

Probably b/c they don't have any qualified F/Os. Don't you have to "be of good moral character" to qualify for an ATP?

Oh GOD here we go........:puke:

Um........... notice how this thread was not even on the 1st page anymore before you had to go and resurrect it to say "oh god here we go....." Nice to know this provides entertainment for you.

Why don't you just answer the question so the thread can die.

Should I leave Mesa and go to Go Jets? I am looking for serious responses only and I know that I will get only professionalism from the members here!

Thanks in advance for your seriousness and attention to this matter.

Yes, yes you should:

  • They have awesome QOL
  • The pay is so much better
  • You're actually flying for a respectable airline
  • You'll love your management
  • The airplanes are brand new and well maintained

When you make the switch let me know....I've got some used porn you'll definitely love!

Would you go to GoJet over Colgan?

I have my app on file at Colgan. I have failed more than 2 check rides so I am ineligible to work there even though it has been 8 years since the last one and in 6 years and 5000hrs 2000 PIC I have never scratched a plane or been in an investigation of any kind or required Focus, Remedial, or Additional training of any kind. Someone reduced a pilots net worth to the # of check rides he/she has failed. That’s it folks. Zero failures and you are golden. Of course the circumstances don’t matter at all. It only matters that I failed them.

I wouldn't be caught dead working at GoJets for the record.

I live in DFW and I have my app on file with Eagle as well. Can't get an interview.

Oh come on, we were having fun trolling until you let the cat out of the bag!

OK then I changed my mind. Can anyone here provide me with insightful information about what working at GoJets would be like? Like maybe a blog of your trips like: I showed at 9 AM and flew to X.......

Umm, how about reading comprehension... the Orange site lists an opening for FOs, not Captains.

Yea does that count as one or two cause I got one of those or two. Yeeeeesssssss I may be qualified after all. CFII

Are we talking a bust working on your ratings or actually at a 121 or 135 carrier? I might be wrong but would Colgan not hire you cause you busted say a Private Pilot checkride? That seems absurd. But, maybe after the Buff crash they are super sensitive.

As to GoJets, I know a pilot there and he likes it, for now. It is a regional and all regionals will never ever be a career. Many on this board forget this fact.

If you can I say go get your time and move on. I know of a pilot who went there in the early days as a street captain (furloughed AA pilot) and he is now in his 5th year at Southwest.

Good luck to you-
