Well for your info I have two degrees and a masters in business. Judging by your responce and knowledge I wouldn't have guessed you made it out of high school. A good education is hard to come by these days. Maybe I could sit down with you and show you how a p and l works with a whole owned company and how those company's benifit from buying other assets. And yes they can. But I guess with your level understanding I would be throwing my time away.

I remember English 101 and 102 being prerequisites for all majors. Especially business.

Indeed it is Alan. Indeed it is.

I can say that I have a degree in rocket fuel design. I can say that I have walked on the freaking moon. I can say I have walked on Lake Lanier, won the Nobel Prize, and a couple of Grammys.

-I could pretend any and all these things were true, but I know they are not. I am certain that you have none of the things you are claiming-especially not the MBA. You don't even know the difference between an LLC and a wholly-owned subsidiary, or how to freaking spell half the stuff you just wrote. Don't even think for a second anyone is buying your load.

-For your efforts, I must assign you a well-deserved FAIL!

I actually do have a degree in rocket fuel design... specifically did my master's on solid rocket propellant using aluminum nanoparticles to accelerate the burn rate but I'll still admit I'm an idiot. ;-)

Alittle education of how Skywest, Inc is structured since some of you think ASA or Skywest can just go buy another company and merge them or run them as separate.

There are only 2 employees of Skywest, Inc. They are Jerry Atkin, Chairman and CEO and Brad Rich, VP and CFO. Jerry's and Brad's compensation is payed out from Skywest and ASA with Skywest paying 60% and ASA at 40%. I have no idea why it's 60/40 and not 50/50 but it's the way it is. Skywest, Inc uses ASA and Skywest personel to do the books, recordkeeping, accounting and whatever is required to run a company. Each individual company is free to negotiate with it's existing codeshare partners for new flying and compensation within guidelines Jerry has set. All new codeshares, ventures and purchases for ASA/Skywest and Skywest, Inc are pursued by Jerry and Brad. If Jerry thinks it's in the best interest of "Inc." then flying will go to ASA or Skywest or even a new separate company. ASA and Skywest don't have the ability to buy anyone even though it may be their money Jerry and Brad is using.

Do you see the difference here Alan? This guy backed up his degree claim by correctly spelling propellant, aluminum, and nanoparticles.

Nanoparticles Alan, nanoparticles.

Toaster strudels are WAY better than pop tarts!!

Jerry and Brad just facebooked me saying that ASA is going to buy Delta and then merge them with Skywest and then Skywest is going to buy a post merger United/Continental and merge them with ASA and then ASA is going to sell Delta to Skywest and Skywest is going to sell UAL/CAL to ASA and then both DAL and UAL/CAL are going to break off and go independent making UAL/CAL the world's largest airline and Delta will be the 2nd largest and then Jake from the bachelor is going to cry about it. Look for an announcement by the end of the week. You heard it here first.
