The company website put out some information today admitting that there will be many steps to be worked out but offered the following info:

It will be an asset transfer with the portion of pilots on the transferring aircraft going with the aircraft. It also says ALPA integration policies will apply.

Ok, and just how senior are the XJ pilots? Will current super senior XJ pilots on the Saab have a chance to bid over the the CRJ900? I can't see how any XJ pilot currently on the Saab would like to stay on this bird that is slated to be killed by end of 2011. So just how senior will the XJs crews be when they come over?

Strong username to thread topic OP.

Hope for the best.

Very Senior. No Saab Captain driver will commute if they don't have to. I know I don't want to commute to a Colgan hub to fly it.

You do realize the Saabs are a dying fleet? Delta already has plans to eliminate them by end of next year. So why would anyone willingly stay on that fleet? You are better off switching to the RJ (if you can) and take your chances coming to Pinnacle with some sort of integration. Honestly though, with all your past smack about 9E, you should just quit. You will be a hypocrite if you end up working for Pinnacle. Either quit to stay as a man of your word, or work here at 9E being a hyprocrit.

Who knows, none of us junior captains will be at all interested in working under either Pinnacle or Colgan reserve rules especially if we commute. We will be looking for ways to go back to senior FO rather than be treated that badly.

dudettes there's a same exact thread about mesaba asssets about 7 threads down, no need to start another thread.

All I can say is that it looks like our management is being told by their overlords to start to dig in for a fight to stop the talk of a single seniority list. Our union has to fight to stop this as it would screw more of us than any other scenerio. This is not good news and once again I think that other airlines (Pinnacle) has gotten this news before we did as I heard this said last week by some pinnacle jerk on another web board. Let me just hope that it is date of hire if we get asset tranfered and not a single seniority list. if I am asset transfered over there then I want our contract to go with us and my date of hire. I had nothing to do with some letter of agreement signed 10-15 years ago! Where is our unions response to this? I have always said that they cannot just show their hand in their negotiations but this is rediculous. Show our hand, stand strong and do not give an inch. I would like to know that 9E's union is with us and not going to offer us some rediculous ratio for our seniority! We are being bought by a holdings company, not Pinnacle. So if I get transfered to them, I should stand on an equal footing as any other pilot. DATE OF HIRE-That being said I would rather have one list, one contract and a fair intergration.

Settle the frick down man. Pinnacle and Mesaba are not merging. We have known that from day one. COLGAN and Mesaba are merging. If it's not called an "asset transfer" to get the crj's over to Pinnacle, then what do you want it to be called? There was really no new info in the FAQ's. In fact, they said that our pilots WILL be going with the jets and it's up to the Union how that gets done. What more do you want? I think people are still struggling with the fact that there can be 2 seperate companies and 1 seniority list, like the way Republic is set up. There is/was no way they were going to take all of Mesaba's pilots and bring them to Pinnacle airlines right away. I don't know. Most of what people have been saying the last couple weeks I can deal with, but the uproar over a couple words in the FAQ today is a bit ridiculous.
