Neither Jerry....or Brad....

owe us (as pilots) anything. If you own company stock, they have an obligation to provide the best stewardship of that equity possible. Other than that, you are owed nothing.

'Jerry' and 'Brad' are normal people just like the rest of us. They take their morning constitutional, shave, shower, put on a tie, and go to work. They are not deities sent from on high, or Utah, to make your life wonderful. Get over it, and get over yourselves.

If a deal comes along that makes sense for the shareholders of the company, it'll get done. If not, there is no obvious need for Jerry and/or Brad to go jump off of a cliff because all of their friends are doing it.

Nothing is substantially different in Inc's. business model today than last week.

once again... missing the point of the thread...of course they don't owe us anything...nor we them. The point is that when you come to employees, especially a group whose upward mobility (whether its fiscal or quality of life) is 100% dependant on growth, that your vision is 5000 pilots, then you throw out 4 700's?... i was just saying i sincerely hope there is another arrow in that quiver. otherwise you risk your next request to 'pull together' will fall flat.

You're bent out of shape because I rounded the furlough figure to a square number to make a point? I thought it was 150ish. Get over it. As far as the Horizon airframes, I haven't seen any new 700s yet. I won't believe it till I see them. The staffing situation was not just bad because of converted 700s. We never had IAD staffed properly. Remember we cancelled a lot of IAD flights as well because the company relies on ATL based crews regularly flying in IAD. Bad model.

Furthermore, BH did NOT secure our United flying. This was a result of Skywest Inc. loaning United a lot of money with strings attached, ASA being one of the strings. And if he's not careful, he's going to lose any future United flying we could get if he doesn't staff that place properly, which it seems he's finally getting around to doing. Hopefully it's not too little too late. You can give him credit for it if you wish, but it wouldn't be accurate. You'd be flat on your butt on the street right now trying to find someone else's butt to kiss were it not for that skywest loan. Brad got lucky with that one, and so did you. Most regionals don't need to loan an airline $80 Million to get under 20 airplanes to fly for them.

As far as this place making a change for the better, so far I have been away from home much more than I used to be, getting paid less to do so. I can only use QOL of an indication, champ. And it's gone down. If we get the Horizon planes on property, then you can give him all the credit in the world for getting us a couple airplanes up from where we were 2 years ago.

Rounding up to a square number? You said 150+! You'd have had a decent excuse if you didn't have the + added into it. You have a pattern of highly exaggerating to prove your negative propaganda. -12 planes, working hard for min guarantee, Brad got "lucky"(WTF?!?) with the UAL deal. Whatever, that's why UAL gave us 2 more planes with more likely to come. That's why the 6 DAL 200s got extended during a time when DAL is desperate to get rid of 50 seaters. Thats why we got 4 more 700s during a time when most thought ASA was going to be too costly when the rate reset came.

Jerry could have took all the growth ASA has received and gave it to SKW and let ASA shrink to oblivion. UAL even told Jerry they want SKW to fly the 14 200s because ASA performance sucks. But no, Jerry and BH believe in ASA and its employees. They intended to get all the furloughs back and they did, far sooner than most believed they'd be back. I commend them for that. Don't get me wrong, this place is not perfect. The reserve life is pretty bad, especially for us up in IAD. But this is not Mesa, Comair, PNCL, Trans States or just about any other regional out. To come on here and loathe every move that management makes and put some kind of negative spin(BH got "lucky") on it EVEN when its positive is beyond ridiculous!

Give our management some time. We must be patient. We're not going to morph into a super regional overnight. Its not logistically possible. The goal is to grow ASA, not to add more companies under SKW Inc's umbrella. The transactions that went down the past few days all included labor and separate lists so it would not have really benefited our employee group. Thank goodness all of the furloughees are back and we have at least some growth.

Trans States Holding and PNCL Holding have a labor nightmare ahead of them to say the least. Whatever CPA they got from DAL I bet they bid some cutthroat rate, and now they got multiple pissed off employee groups that will try to merge and work out a contract. It will be fun to watch.

I believe Trans States and PNCL both as said before so eloquently, jumped off the cliff with this one. PNCL even had to have Delta FINANCE back to them the $60 mil pocket-change(By corporation standards) required to buy Mesaba! They will have their hands full for the next several years. Good riddance. That reduces the competition for the next round of contracts coming up.

Frankie Say Relax.

Did they say 500 aircraft by the end of the summer? Cool it. It's only been a month and a half.
