I'm certain the captain knew it was a scab flight, he hasn't even bothered to refute his listing on the scab list. I'll bet that the FO's Falcon Air ex-Midwest brethren will find out the truth about his story and then we'll all know the facts.

Ignorance isnt an excuse.

Can someone PM me with the details on the Captain, pictures would be helpful as well. We are trying to confirm the identity. We have his name from the customs form, but we need pictures of him as well, thanks!

Falcon Air isn't unionized. The pilots there are *MOSTLY* former ALPA, Teamsters, etc (highly experienced furloughed or permanently-furloughed (Midwest) pilots from other carriers).

And yes, Florida is an at-will work state; if the Falcon Air pilots refuse to fly, they're risking termination without recourse to grievance. So every Falcon Air pilot who DID refuse to fly those flights deserves our respect and appreciation for risking termination in a TERRIBLE hiring environment to support Spirit pilots.

Those who didn't refuse... well... as a mod, I should just shut up before I say something I shouldn't, even though all of this is my personal opinion and not posting as a mod.

Thank you

I'd like to not discuss it here either, but it seems no matter where you go on FI.com, there's a west pilot making some false remark about the union or mis-using the word "scab." Perhaps these digressions should be nipped in the bud. Or, I suppose you can just let them spread lies and discontent and require that no one challenges them. That's how several other forums operate.
That's what I was trying to do, nip it in the bud before it turned into a East/West love fest... again... It seems to have served its purpose, and if it doesn't, I'll just start deleting posts at will that talk about it in this or any other Spirit thread.

Also, had to delete several posts for language and one post for naming of names... AGAIN... Knock it off. PM each other for that stuff, please.

Thanks.

/mod

Not ready to forgive and forget just yet, but after reading the FO's last statement on the Spirit scab site, I'm starting to think there is a possibility he is sincere in his contrition and really didn't grasp what was going on.

The captain, on the other hand... :angryfire

Yeah, I am not sure about the F/O, he may just be so clueless he shouldn't be flying airplanes.

Then again, he was laid up with an injury and at no time did he read the news/surf the internet/watch TV and so to claim he didn't know what was going on at Spirit sounds to sad to be true?

I will let the Spirit pilots decide!

resume

Someone on our company site posted the F/O's resume and one of his references was a CAL F/O that is on the master list. (eastern) Nice company he keeps.

If the Info posted on the Spirit Scab website is accurate, there is to be no quarter for Scabby Scabberton.

He states that he saw people taking his picture and the Captain informed him of who they were. If he had walked off the plane at the outstation and cried ignorance, there's a 4% chance of acquittal. However, he did the return flight while fully informed of the circumstance.
Also, he makes a big point of declaring that "If he only knew that everyone else" was being a man, that he would have followed suit. He falls back on it repeatedly, so as to lead me to believe that what is right is not what matters, it's what everyone else does. To whit, if everyone else had decided to work flights, he would have seen no problem.

Convicted. This dirtbag gets the Scarlet "S" for the rest of his life.
