I don't care who you are. With any amount of time in aviation, especially at the point of being able to fly larger jet airplanes, you got an idea of what's going on in labor. Especially working in south florida, where I'm sure the goings on of Spirit was fairly well publicized..... Another board posted a link to the guys face book account, and I guess some people couldn't resist sending some notes of "encouragement" to the fine aviator...... His response though is classic scab......On the other board, someone mentioned one of his references might be listed on the Master List.....how fitting.


I am sorry that I crossed the picked line. I was pressured into it by my company. I also did not understand the implications. Right after I came back I called Falcon Air crew scheduling, and told them that I did not want to do this anymore. If there where to be any consequences for the decision not to fly anymore, then so be it.

Furthermore I contacted XXXXXXX, the Spirit Airlines ALPA strike coordinator in Ft. Lauderdale to explain to him that I made a mistake. I do support your cause. I offered him that I would want to walk the picket line in support of the Spirit Air pilots at the airport. He appreciated my offer, but advised me not to go because of possible confrontations.

Again, I am truly sorry for my actions and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

To get a job at Falcon Air Express, he, like many others, had to pay for their own training. All in all, scabbing is pretty consistent behavior, considering. Type specific PFT....

From what I've gathered, he didn't make it through training at a US regional. Paying for a job is the only way at that point.

Actually, he did not have to pay for his training at Falcon but I am not defending him. Only correcting a false statement. He did leave out how he failed out of training at Chautauqua. He only got the job at Falcon because the CP is also from the same country I believe. I know, I was in his class. I was going to have to pay for training though (I still can't explain why but I have a good guess) but I got smart and left in the middle of class before I made a huge mistake. Hey, better late than never sometimes.

On another note... GOOD LUCK SPIRIT PILOTS!

Falcon Air isn't unionized. The pilots there are *MOSTLY* former ALPA, Teamsters, etc (highly experienced furloughed or permanently-furloughed (Midwest) pilots from other carriers).

And yes, Florida is an at-will work state; if the Falcon Air pilots refuse to fly, they're risking termination without recourse to grievance. So every Falcon Air pilot who DID refuse to fly those flights deserves our respect and appreciation for risking termination in a TERRIBLE hiring environment to support Spirit pilots.

Those who didn't refuse... well... as a mod, I should just shut up before I say something I shouldn't, even though all of this is my personal opinion and not posting as a mod.

No USAPA will support him. They will help him file a RICO lawsuit against all the other pilots of the world who withheld information about how bad scabbing was and how their conspiracy to withhold information lead directly to his becoming a scab.

That FO has obviously refused to fly anymore Spirit flights. That's why Falcon Air isn't taking any more of the Spirit Air trips. Perhaps he's telling the truth and was lied to by dispatch. I'm just sayin'...
