4 CRJ 900s are confirmed to be flying for Air Mekong. Details were e-mailed by CT a few minutes ago.

Captains:
6250 per month.
900 per month housing allowance
1500 per quarter travel allowance

First Officers
4250 per month
800 per month housing allowance
1000 per quarter travel allowance

** All taxes in Viet Nam have already been factored in these amounts.
21 days vacation (can be used as sick time)
Comparable health care to current benefits with United Healthcare.
no current Jumpseat agreements (is it a start up afterall)

If thats true, that is terrible pay. Go to vorholdings.com or one of the other expat recruitment websties and check out what they are paying e145 pilots to fly in china or elsewhere.

$9400 a month e145 captains
$10000 for Emb190 captains

It is terrible. Might be good for some 3 year fo's to get an upgrade, but I don't see any current captains going. Of course, it would be a cool adventure, but no one currently in the left seat will be going for the money.

There is also a $900/mo. housing allowance and $6,000/yr travel allowance to factor in. Also, health care is not charged to you. This bumps up the package a bit.

Interesting:

"Air Mekong plans to incorporate a rotational, balanced pairing and crew scheduling system, to include reserve assignments.
There will be no seniority based roster."

Should be interesting to see how many ASA current Captains go for it.

Also interested to see if Skywest gets the same offer.

Ill give you that. International Health Insurance can run you about 10,000 to 12,000 a year according to the guys on pprune.

Better update the tetanus shot!!! Yikes no thanks I'll pass!

That's net pay. AM covers all Vietnamese taxes and benefits

I worked at least one overseas contract before... You really have to compare apple and oranges before you consider one

Correct me if I am wrong, but as an FO and getting only $4000 to travel back in forth will get used up extremely fast. I wanted to see jumpseat agreements with this but there are none.
