Last winter I was offered a job that paid more to be an FO on a shorts 360 to fly day vfr in some islands. Had all the same benefits. So how they are offering this pay for a crj900 is crazy.

it's low by about 2k per month salary and about one - three hundred a month housing. They're not figuring the loss of 401k interest/company match, US medical insurance, apartment lease break, etc., etc., etc. Throw in a private driver and better pay and I would have considered it. It just seems like a heck of an inconvenience and a MAJOR lifestyle change..

I hope that more will use the same common sense that you are showing but I fear that the ones who see this as an adventure and not care about the damage they will be doing to terms and conditions worldwide will jump at it.

A sorry state of affairs for this profession when we can get paid far more flying in China with far less cost of living than we do working for an American company.
