It's not going to be quite that high for a total dollar amount in the end. Remember, that's the PROPOSAL, which is, of course, artificially high to give room to negotiate. That said, I'd be highly shocked if the total sticker price to a T.A. that's put out for ratification didn't fall somewhere in the $150-170 Million range over a 4 year Agreement.Using your numbers of a cost increase of $0.0025 per ASM, our new contract would cost Airtran around $60 million per year (based on 24 billion ASMs per year). Add on top of that $35-40 million for signing bonus.
Ayuh.Airtran management ain't going to fork over that kind of money without a fight or serious threat of work stoppage. The strike vote is going to be a crucial step in convincing our management we are serious. The next 3-6 months is also a great time to be topping off your strike savings fund.
I wouldn't worry. It's been up and down that whole time. If I were a betting man, I'd say it'll likely be open again on Monday sometime. Keep trying, and good luck!Wow the online app was only open for 28 hours. I wonder how many apps they received this time.

Wow, then it's definitely higher than what I had estimated just from base pay rates, a decrease in our medical costs, and retirements. I haven't seen the rigs yet and don't know what that would do to staffing, but if it's significant, then yeah, it's going to get a bit closer to SWA CASM, that's for certain.Actually, I would guess the proposal is quite a bit more than that. Remember, that's just straight pay rates, but we've also got retirement, insurance, rigs, etc.
2500 turbine with 500 121 PIC is huge. While you're at it why don't you put on the application "we want experienced pilots who won't let us push them around and will demand industry standard pay."
Tacitcal error in my eyes but good for Tranny guys.
Gup
Snicker ..........
Are you the tool DAL Captain who lectures AirTran jumpseaters ? If not ... Enjoy the 15 year upgrade on a DC9 and thanks for the support.
I have never seen a more placid kool aid drinking group than DAL. Bend over and enjoy.
Actually our fo's don't need to upgrade to make your captain pay rates. Your junior 6th yr captain is sitting reserve for 127 hr, our 6th year fo is sitting on the 767 making 116 with international override, not to mention with a sweet sched. If on the 767 400 as an fo its 131 with the international. No problem waiting.
Normally I do not support bashing, but he did say DC9 not 767-400. Out of the 13 types of aircraft that DL flies (including the 787), only 5 of those types would an FO make more then $127. Yes but a six year can choose that, regardless of how many it is. Now I don't know the percent of FO's flying those 5 types, maybe 20%? Or the percent of 6 year FO's flying those 5 types, but I'm guessing it go senior? The other 8 types 12 year FO's max out between $103 to $119.
So if you really want to compare apples to apples
DL DC9 12 year captain rate $151 with a 65 guarantee
FL 717 12 year captain rate $153 with a 70 guarantee
With that said… Pay must go up industry wide. You may now return to infighting and bashing while management laughs all the way to the bank.
121 PIC or military equivalent - 500 hours

Monster,
I'm not sure how long you've been at Delta, but I was hired there in the Fall of 1999 and would now be a senior -88 F/O in MSP had I stayed around. I have buds on the ER in ATL, now in their tenth year with the company, who cannot hold a line in that seat.
I'm not saying that $127 per hour for a six-year captain is reasonable pay. It's not.
I merely question whether the quality of life and pay you espouse actually exists for a six-year FO at Delta.
Felix
I'd change your screen name to something more professional
Military PIC time I'd guess. I don't have 500 mil PIC, but I'm applying anyway. :nuts:What is military equivalent of 121 PIC. Just multicrew?
