Republic, just like any regional, set their pay rates in line with the other regionals. They had to, to remain competitive. Otherwise they would have priced themselves out of the market. Which would have meant goodbye to quick upgrades. Which is the whole reason for working for a regional.

You knuckleheads who think Republic should have had industry leading pay rates need to look around and realize that they COULDN'T have those rates and expect to keep those planes. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER REGIONAL THEY CONSIDER EACH CONTRACT WITH THIS IN MIND: IF WE GET TOO EXPENSIVE, WE WILL LOSE THE FLYING! It's not rocket science!

Now that the flying is branded, there is no excuse, of course. If the next contract is not close to industry standard, they will deserve some flak. Until then, back off, or show your true colors as a knuckle-dragging, "my sht hole regional is better than your sht hole regional" moron.

the only reason you would become expensive is because you got undercut by someone else who decided to do yor job for less. therefore taking the quick upgrade you agreed to do on the cheap.
when will rah pilots realise what they (and mesa) did to the indusrty? maybe when the planes stop turning up. hmmm
sad bastards.

and what reagional did you negotiate you payscale in line with?
Oh, right, maybe one that was four years past its experation date. nice

Based on the profile, it sure looks like Jayme is a fellow VA guy who never worked for RAH, and you're throwing stones at him too?

Let's recap. RAH current pay sucks. It's a huge improvement over the previous CBA there, and secured scope over the entire holding company, preventing a repeat of Freedom/Go-Jets. They're trying to bring up the rates after a huge influx of E-Jets and merging with 2 mainline carriers. They need to do a decent job taking care of the YX guys who were screwed.

In the meantime, you PFT'd at OH and work for the lowest-paid A320 operator in the states, and yey like to scream at everyone about being w************************* and scumbags. Gotta love the internet....

thats right dickface, i pft'd, if thats what gets you through the day keep on beliveing it.
I know the virgin payrates are low, but if you look at spirit and frontier you see our rates are the same, if not better than theirs. compare our rates to airtran.
you really should get your facts straight before you mouth off. i'm sure you're not as big a dick as you seem on FI, but i could be wrong.

it does make me laugh, all the rah guys bang on about pft, yet they werent even at flt school when clownair stopped pft. i guess it makes them feel better about themselves, maybe thats what they remind themselves about every time the look at the dog turd of a contract they signed. well done boys, well done, you seem very proud, and you should be, theres nothing like working for next to nothing and letting your regional airline accrue so much cash you can buy two airlines and shove your crappy pay and work rules down their throat. fantastic.

I don't really care, but since you mentioned it I thought you should know that VA rates are not close to F9's. These are the 10% concessionary rates that snap back next year, and they are still higher than yours

VA CA F9 CA

95 111
100 112
105 117
110 124
115 136
120 138 up to 156

Captain pay is around 12%-18% lower, not including the 6% DC contribution or snap back to book rates.

VA FO F9 FO

44 37
55 64
60 73
65 77
70 82
72 84

Again, no comparison.

I am not participating in the anti-VA rant, just correcting an inaccurate post. Take it for what it is worth, I will probably be giving the safety brief on a 1900 out of escanaba this time next week.

Stayseated,
I am not sure where you got those rates but they are not our concesionary rates. fourth year FO rate is $69hr.
