Not weak at all...1 I'd say. Many college expert analysts rank it 2nd behind the SEC, and I'd agree. In the Big 12, after Texas there is not much. Oklahoma doesn't look so great. The Pac10 was 5-0 in bowls last year, and despite the loss at Wash, USC is a top 5 team. Oregon looks tough after the early loss, Wash is a good looking team with Locker. UCLA is coming back up. Pretty strong I'd say.

What other conferences have a better top to bottom? Big 10 Maybe? ACC maybe? But not as weak as you think.

You must be on drugs. The big televe has been better than the sec on and off for the past three years thanks only to FL. They are so much better than the PAC 10. Talk about west coast kook-aid there's plenty to go around.

WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Blah blah blah blah. Thanks! your thoughts actually give me a warm fuzzy. It's actually fun watching you throw tantrums! LMAO!!

New thread title: Cal unranked, USC 6

Va Tech gave up too many points to Duke and will drop a notch or two.

People watch the games to see the offense, but everybody knows that defense (D-FENCE!) wins games.

No, not on drugs. And, I wasn't really giving my opinion. I said that in watching College Football expert analysts, most of them say the Pac 10 has the second best conference to the SEC. In thinking it through, I merely suggested if not, then who is the next best conference? I give you the ACC, Big 12, and Big 10 as possibilities. If you want my opinion, I think the ACC this year with Miami, Va Tech, BC, Ga Tech and FSU have a pretty deep conference this year.

As far as the whole Big 12 --- Not too impressed this year. Like I said, after Texas what is there? Nebraska is down. Oklahoma just lost to Miami and is 2-2. Ok Stateand Kansas are pretty good. Kansas St, Missouri, Baylor, A & M or Texas Tech don't impress me at all.

Thats my opinion, but I'm a Big East fan, so what do I know.

Take a walk through Heritage Hall and let me know how "weak" USC is. I love when Sc beats VT, OSU, Arkansas,etc......excuses are made. Trestle lost the game for us. So and so were hurt. Get over it. A school that pulls players from FL, NJ, TX and all over CA obviously knows what it's doing. In Pete we trust.

Big 12 is nothing but a paper tiger, and the bowls last year proved it.

Ole Miss took Texas Tech to the Woodshed.

Oklahoma St. lost to Oregon.

Texas squeaked by an overrated Ohio State with a freshman QB.

The 'best offense in the history of college football', Oklahoma, got beat by Florida and held to their lowest yardage and point totals of the year.

The bowl games proved that the huge offensive numbers generated in the Big 12 last year weren't due so much to great offense, but terrible defense.

Right now I think it's SEC, PAC-10, Big 12, and the others. Most experts agree with me. Even in a bit of a down year, the SEC is still better than anywhere else. Thank you Cal for proving that.

The FudgePAC-10

Ok.. Let me see if I have this straight.. It goes...

SEC, BIG 12... and then maybe ACC, maybe BIG 10, or maybe Pac 10. Six more and you've named 'em all!! Pick one.

And yes I know Washington beat USC, for Christs' sake. But that's like watching a smaller midget pin down a not so small midget to claim the midget wrestling title..

Sure USC is the best of the PAC 10, but that's because they don't play anyone worth a damn (except for Stanford). Much like saying Boise St. is good this year because they beat the rest of the teams in the WAC! The WAC and the PAC 10 should combine into one conference in order to make it fair for those in more serious conferences.

Ummm how about Ohio State and Notre Dame for non conference games. You want to see a joke look at the SEC teams schedule AKA Florida. Their big games are an extremely over rater LSU then Georgia WOW.

An easy way to settle this would be to actually have a playoff system. That way teams would schedule tougher non conference games. How many teams go to bowl games now?

I believe the Republicans actually suggested this system but the Democrats vetoed it.
