Furloughed pilots with "safety" backgrounds weren't even dignified with a rejection letter when they applied. Sully, after a seven figure book deal, was then given the job. It's a publicity stunt through and through. And being that a qualified furloughed pilot could have been hired off the street, I'd say YES, the letter-writer would have felt happier. If you're at a loss, you haven't a clue!!!!

Parker just has a talent for creating chaos.

No pilot flying today will, given the opportunity, fly.

Whether it is the big payoff in a top union job, transition to management, publicity stunt, lottery win, inheritance. I don't know of anyone who would continue the lifestyle that this profession has become if given another choice.

Ditto to blah, blah -

Did someone drop these guys on their collective heads when they were babies?

The guy stands up for his beliefs and, rest assured, could care less about your opinion of him.

To this heat stroked, desert dwelling, entitled, generation of pilots - get over it finally - you weren't there and you weren't the hero. Aside from yourselves - no one cares.

On the last day....the earth will be full of utter destruction....and the only beings left will be cockroaches and....US Air

Desert dwelllers were tired of being led around like a dog, organanized, took the leash and strangled USAPA. As far as being entitled, pilots have been furloughed out of seniority and a jury agreed. Displaced pilots are certainly entitled to a day in court.
