The guys who voted this in are still here. Hopeless.

Again, agree 100%. That's why this should have NEVER been put out to vote, the spineless pussies who thought they could "live with" an 8.9% cut, never even read the godd**n thing before they voted yes. It was so obvious that the plan was scare the mega-senior, scare the mega-junior and make it look like not a bad deal to the average 737 guy (majority of votes) that it was sickening.

just heard the crew rest seat was offered back to continental airlines unconditionallly

CAL is run by lawyers and bankers. I doubt anything and I mean ANYTHING will be given away without something in return. I just don't see it. Frankly, even if it were true, it's not a contractual requirement so they can take it away whenever they want. FUPM!

I was on a CAL flight from BCN-EWR 3 years ago. They graciously offered me a Biz/First seat. I observed all 3 crewmembers using the first row of BizFirst for their breaks. Maybe it was different back then? (2006 time frame.)

The coach seats for rest are only used if the Businessfirst cabin sells out(revenue, not upgrades/non-revs). If there is a seat open in 1st class, it is upgraded to the crew rest seat before any other upgrades and nonrevs. It WILL be blocked for crew use and a specific seat will always be used on the 755/767 each time on the next contract. Everyone knows this.
