I heard many people "complaining" about being called in on their days off. But they were also excited about the premium pay. We are always our own worst enemy.
This BS has got to end you nimrods!!!!!!!!!If you idiots don't quit picking up open time and flying on days off, we will never hire or get a contract!!!!!!!!
smarten up people!

Agreed. Everyone has to bypass premium pay now for a major airline contract later. How will the best management team get the message when they don't feel a little pain.

Funny. I had the entire weekend off and never got a call, I was legal to fly as well. Makes me think that they were calling a lot less people then the pilots would like to believe! If they were that low on coverage. They would have called me!

When you sign on to Sharetran, the numbers at the right for month look pretty bad - soemthing like what Ty posted. 39% on-time departure, 59% on-time arrival. Completion factor still up around 99 percent though.
Those numbers you saw on Sharetran all weekend were only for July 1st. The daily and monthly numbers were identical and didn't change all weekend. Someone in the office must have to input the performance numbers into Sharetran (it isn't an up to date ticker like FTWeb has). The numbers didn't change all weekend until the normal office people got back in yesterday (Monday).

When the numbers were updated yesterday (meaning performance through Sunday, July 5th), the monthly numbers indicated a DOT on-time arrival rate of 76% and a completion factor of 99.5% (average less than 4 cancellations/day based on a 750 flights a day average through the period). Those are pretty good numbers for a holiday weekend considering how full the flights were.

Hard to tell . . .they only call management to fly as a last resort.

Good for you. . . . . Wish more guys would do it when necessary . . . . Might put an end to the byzantine reserve system and the mixing of night and day pairings.
