Anyone noticed MX guys not very happy these days. One MX guy said they have seen a raise in writeups in the last week....

Alot of sick calls the last week..Cancelling flights due to no crews sch stated.

they were saying AT only has 14-16 line guys at any one time. With an uptick in mx problems they are running short I guess...don't know...

Oh, I'm sure the " Best Management Team in the Industry" will be coming up from MCO to help out over the holiday weekend and earn their bonuses . . . . or not.

The numbers off FTWeb (around 6pm when I got done each day) show a different story. For the 3rd, we had 2 cancelled flights and had a 90% DOT ontime. For the 4th, we had 0 cancellations and 97% DOT ontime. I was surprised to see the numbers that good but they were.

I heard many people "complaining" about being called in on their days off. But they were also excited about the premium pay. We are always our own worst enemy.

Whatchoo talkin' bout, Willis?

I worked on the 3rd and the numbers by late evening were around 69% for DOT arrivals and more like 39% OT pushes.

Read my post again. My numbers were from around 6pm. With all the TS in the northeast Friday, I am sure the ontime % went down as the night progressed (as you saw when you checked the numbers later on).

My point was on one of the busiest travel days of the year (system load factor around 90%) and with the amount of open time there was during the middle of last week, to have 2 cancellations and a 90% DOT ontime arrival rate at 6pm on July 3rd makes it seem like the pilots at Airtran are pretty happy overall with Contract 2001.

Maybe, Airtran just got lucky or maybe there is a conspiracy and the numbers on FTWeb are being skewed.

When you sign on to Sharetran, the numbers at the right for month look pretty bad - soemthing like what Ty posted. 39% on-time departure, 59% on-time arrival. Completion factor still up around 99 percent though.
