Is on demand cargo dead?

Has it picked up any at all? Fewer companies to compete with these days will make it seem busier faster, when it picks back up that is.

Nope, rumor also has it Air Alliance "Twister" shut down yesterday. A couple less Falcons now.

heard they laid off, didn't shut down. any one care to set the record straight?

Well I know someone on here can give the official word since I heard it from him, but they did shut down completely a day after doing big layoffs.

I think one of our mods worked their. Typical of on-demand... Hiring, upgrading, were out of business. I am feeling much better about some of my moves after I got laid off from USA Jet last year these days. I turned down a street Captain's position at Cherry air, and turned down the opportunity to be a Shorts Captain at Alliance.

Yap, AAC is no longer in operation, well kinda.. On 1MAY they laid all flight crews off except 2. The next day they laid the rest off. AAC will keep the a/c airworthy and wait a few months. (according to them)

How can you pay the leases on the aircraft by having them sit?

Well, they are already "sitting" around anyway. So if they have leases then they are saving money by the letting the crews go so they can pay them. If they even have leases. Have no idea what their set-up is.

I know some companies lease by the hour. Only pay when flying. This is common on engines, and is done on a few airframes. BTW so what I see here is Alliance is belly up?

The a/c are not leased.. outright owned. the owner of the operation owns a few other bigger companies so he has money.

So does this mean they are still flying? If they are not flying, USA Jet better dig up a couple more DA-20's to cover all that flying
