Well, I thought I would start this thread. The results will be in tomorrow by the end of business day...

Where's General Lee.....?

He needs to spew some sort of Delta (keep my Delta, your Delta we're awesome) angle on the results.

Oh wait... they're not in yet.

I just want to give a quick shout out to my buddies at "Band of Blue." These guys are the true heroes that know that unions are a thing of the past. Low wages and trash picking are the wave of the future. If only every airline has a group of visionaries like Band of Blue we would all be where we need to be - the land of 8 figure executive bonuses.

Dare to dream.

Dude you are way too funny. Keep it up.

Well, from a "source" in Ozone Park and one in Yonkers, apparently a lot of ex USAir guys now at Jetblue are working with "local leaders" to set up shop next to "Vito's Repair shop" for a new "MEC Headquarters." Security at the establishment will be procured by "Vinnie the Rat" and "Antoine the Anus." (the latter being your new negotiator in any future contracts) Good luck guys!

Bye Bye--General Lee

At least Antoines head can fit through a doorway..

"Add mental snapshot of general posing for himself naked with only his hat and blazer on in front of exotic south american hotel mirror"

I walk around down there looking like Pinochet---and the girls LOVE IT. I sometimes wear my hat backwards like a baret too when I go to France....

Congrats on Bogota.....that will be fun for you guys. Make sure you go outside of the hotel compound and yell "I am an American!" Your blue TSA outfits will attract attention too.

Bye Bye--General Lee

"We are very pleased that JetBlue's Pilots have chosen to retain their direct relationship with the company. We will continue to work closely with our Pilots and all JetBlue crewmembers to ensure
JetBlue's competitive position remains strong and our culture remains unique in the industry. We truly believe culture, an environment of collaboration and the company's agility are key competitive advantages for JetBlue."

Press release from Blue - The Barge thanks pilots for keeping Union off Property!

Welp, I guess that says it all for now. Good move guys n gals! Made no sense in this economy.

:pimp:

Actually, getting JBPA on property would have been perfect in "this economy". I'd like to thank 1000 of my brothers for being so damn apathetic and not seeing the forest for the trees. Guess when you have tri-care our ********************ty health care and industry trailing pay just aren't important enough to try and lift up your company and industry.

Sad move.. the majority of the pilots are content to be the "tail end charlie" of the airline profession when it comes to compensation and protection..

Or, perhaps these 1000 see an opportunity to raise the existing bar at JetBlue such that when a union does get voted in down the road, we start negotiations from a higher level of compensation.

There is an up side to this, gents. We just have to take action to make sure our concerns are addressed. We have their attention--now is the time to take action.

JBLU pilots are pathetic.

Now who are you gonna call when your Airbus slides off the snowy runway in BUF. At the very least you should have voted this in to protect your families and your career.

You guys are playin with fire thinkin "they" are going to take care of you when the prverbial goo hits the fan.

Bad economy....I'll give you that....but legally you are on a road all by yourselves. Good Luck....

Protected by a couple guys running this JBPA thing out of their garage. Right.

Well played Mr. Barger, well played. Anyone have the number to that truckdriving school, Truckmasters I think, I am going to need it..........:(

Thank god no union !

Now that you've all had a chance to vote in representation but failed to do so, don't be surprised when you are denied jumpseat privileges at a union carrier. Many pilots at NWA view the jumpseat as a union negotiated privilege. And they are correct. Good luck.

Wow, Nice move.

Don't you mean Delta! LOL

Gee,I didn't know USAPA's BPR ( "bored of pilot representing" er,uh.. I mean Board of Pilot "'Representatives" ) were providing security for the Jet Blue Pilots Association. Wonder if that's gonna be listed as a "germane expense"??? ;)

I have tricare and am just as upset as you. I (like many of my guard/reserve buds) can see through the forest and "still" voted!

Wow. I voted yes and campaigned for the JBPA, and am disgusted at the result.

This, however, is way out of line. I guess the 50 or so DL and AA pilots that use us from RDU alone are gonna start buying tickets? Will you let me on if I bring my JBPA "Vote Yes" button?

And who are you going to get to run THAT union drive? The Bobs?

Gotta ask. My union got voted out from under me just because USAir had more pilots than my airline did. I refused to join the new "union" if you want to call it that, and I guess you can say I'm a non-union pilot. Does that mean I won't be able to jumpseat on your airline and others that are represented by a union ?

Trunout?

How many votes for/against?

These things take time. In FedEx's case 20 years. We got our heads handed to us by the Tigers pilots in the merger. They had ALPA representation, we had the FAB (student council). They had a contract, we had the Flight Crew Handbook, our version of your employment contract with jblu. Management unilaterally revoked I-96 (seniority integration in event of a merger).

Too bad you didn't organize now. You will never find a more labor friendly govt than what we will have for the next two years.

Best of luck to ALL JetBlue pilots. You are welcome on my j/s anytime. Just be prepared for a friendly lecture on the benefits of collective bargaining!;)

HEY! Don't use such a broad brush! About 700 of voted FOR it!

This is the kind of pitch that has proven to be such a successful ALPA recruiting tool over the years.

To My Fellow Union Pilots:

I am truly sorry for my career and yours that this did not pass. I have never been around a more cowardly and gutless pilot group. We deserve whatever mgmt. doesnt give us and if we are involved in a merger we deserve to get hosed.
