Info is accurate. Source is the company. Goes back to the mid point of the March 6 class. By seniority.

Oh man not more furloughs...

CherryBomb- Did you and the other Cherry Lear pilot get cut? Sorry to hear the bad news fellas.

Where did you guys hear 25? I got the email but it didnt say how many were gonna be let go. Lets hope this turns around sooner than later!!!!!!!!!!!

General e-mail was sent out to all with no final number yet till Jan 30th, but a very reliable source in management said 25 was the number.

Straight from the bottom? That would be 7 LR 45 guys, 18 Challenger 300 - but 0 LR60 and 604. Training department could get busy again.

No exact number was given.

no 60 or 604 guys.

to be done in reverse seniority order.

Sounds like either the training depts is gonna be ramping up or the 45 and 300 guys are gonna be busy.

Sorry to hear his news. Best wishes to all that are involved. Let's hope this economy turns around sooner than later.

So this will bring up a question.....how is the company gonna save some money if they have to type all these guys that will probably be displaced?

Why does there need to be any training at all? If flying is down across the board, then it should not be required. CS did not do any re-typing, why would Flex need to if only 25 guys are being furloughed?

has anyone heard anything about recall rights or severance pay or anything? I do hope they hire these folks back before any others. They also said no displacements for now.

This sucks. Well NetJets, your turn now

CS didnt retype because the guys that got furloughed were hired into airplanes on expected deliveries that they didnt get. This is a different case.

Good luck guys..

thanx, and good luck to you too

This really sucks, puts things in perspective for all of us. Nothing but bad news from the frax industry, at least we seem to be holding up better than the airlines.

Not Necessarily true at all. We are taking deliveries of 6 CJ3's and 6 Soveriegns. Guys that were furloughed were from 3 fleet type's. My point is that when you are furloughing 25 pilots, there is not gonna be any re-training. Prove me wrong.

Oh yeah, if 6 guys had not taken the early outs, we would have furloughed from all 4 types.

becuase most of the layoffs are from the 300 fleet which is our busiest fleet.

Leaving it shorthanded would be a bad deal.

On the other hand the 60 fleet is older and on its way out. So why not just ditch the old 60's and retrain those guys on the 300 or heaven forbid the 45.
