Very true, but I find that those that complain the most and join unions to bully existing management won't take the responsibility and become management themselves. They can't take the pressure.

Where am I jealous of pilots? I am one, but my career was forced into a different direction. If you even for one moment have as much success and fun as I've had in the industry between flying and management you will be able to feel like you've accomplished something in your career. If you choose to keep only a flying career that's great, but it doesn't leave a lot for you to complain about if management doesn't meet your expectations and you don't make an attempt to change the direction yourself. Then, you become a follower rather than a leader and you get what you ask for.

Because I find it entertaining to post the reality beside all these union mongers. They only see once side of the issue and think that everybody is lined up behind them. I was involved in the 91K rulemaking process prior to the implementation of 91K as well as some consulting work during the implementation (during a forced layoff because of a union "inaction".) I like the business model and dislike the fact that unions are trying to destroy it.

Industry leading profits... "check"

Faltering economy... "check"

See a pattern there broke? Lotsa people gonna get hurt when NJASAP doesn't react in time. Just like the legacy carriers.

Doesn't make any difference if the revenue is gained selling seats or airplanes. If the revenue slips, the CBA will need to be pulled back to match the reduced revenue. No hiding from it..

I have never purported to know who B19 is. I met the infamous Flight Options Bob in an FBO. He told me who he was, So there was no doubt! He was/is a collasal tool! My experience with B19 is simply that s/he must always lecture you and try to come off as THEEEE superior intellect. Which makes B19 a collasal tool. That's where the confusion came from I think. Sometimes it is hard to tell one tool from another.

No, it didn't make my day when I got laid off because of union activity (or in the other case, lack thereof) and it wouldn't make my day now. The whole concept of my dislike of unions is to avoid exactly what happens when unions don't react, deep cuts and the potential complete loss of a company due to an unreasonable CBA that was had during the "good times" and isn't adjusted for by the union in the bad.

But it would make my case if the cuts were deeper than other non-union fracs and they remained more stable via the flexability a non-union company has over one that has a union.

I'd guesstimate that only about 10% of pilots at all the fracs even visit these message boards.

Most, like myself, really enjoy confrontation.

Like I said before if the company took care of business, the union would be outta business.

I understand your frustration. If you have noticed, I haven't been getting into Union fights with B19 lately (over the past week). I am getting bored with debating the same point over and over. If he could bring some new material to the debate, I would be happy to start a thread whose title would be clear enough to steer away those uninterested.

I hate coming to this site for information and seeing the same old union this, union that garbage. I am speaking out and saying what alot of others won't.

The moderators here seem to be for unions....good for them. They don't moderate the threads that get hijacked by the NUMEROUS pro union pilots. I and others have expressed our opinions on this issue in the past, to no avail.

Oh well, so I will take my frustration out on the culprits when the opportunity presents itself. I want the B side as well. That was my point. You can go through these threads on this site and see just what I am talking about. When you tell a guy like B19 that you are tired of the same old stuff.....I could have pissed myself with laughter. Those who oppose the union idea and thier destructive actions state the reasons why over and over again because it seems the po-unionites don't even read (or consider the existance of) our point of view. But we have read thiers and that's where our oppositon comes from. This is like the Ford-Chevy, Browns-Steelers, Left-Right, debates that will never have an end.
