I just wanna say congrats to the junior FO's at ASA. They will be sleeping easier tonight! At least for another year anyway...

I hate to say it but I wish it were me. It may suck to go back to the right seat but you make 700 CA pay and hold a sweet line. Yeah, you don't get to play with the tiller but the pay check it still better. I'd let that one lie there. Why screw over someone else's paycheck when everyone is still getting paid?

The CA displaced to FO are on FO pay, not CA pay....so they lost a bit more than a tiller.

While we have currently suspended hiring additional flight crews...[/SIZE]

Does this mean I shouldn't go to the interview tomorrow?

You forgot that when that happened you said they were going to Skywest all along....Your tune has changed....

Um, no, they were -EV registered airplanes.

The 900s at the time were never delivered to ASA, so who knows if it was a ploy or if they were coming here. I have my money on ploy.

Wow, where to start, I guess the beginning.
First 7 were delivered to Freedom with 7 more due from the factory. Then Delta decided to give them all to Comair with one additional from the factory to bring the total to 15. Then a couple weeks later they changed to giving the 7 already built to pinnacle for approx 3 months til they were to come to Mesaba along with the now 8 due from the factory. Now as of about 6 pm ET today 5 of the already built will be flown starting mid February by Mesaba the other 10 by ASA but ASA must park 20 CRJ 200's they currently operate for a net loss of 10 planes ( for this deal only, not counting the ATR's ect.) Wait a month and watch them end up being passed to Skywest, then Shuttle America...... My God these things will have been passed around more than Tila Tequila......

How can anyone defend ALPA when these 900s have been transferred between 5 ALPA carriers in a year.....Herndon we have a problem.....

If it was a "ploy" then the Skywest never "stole" anything....You can't have it both ways....

I believe they were going originally going to come to ASA....

Are you going to defend these 10 900s being transferred between 5 ALPA carriers in a year....This "union" has some issues it needs to address before you go blaiming Skywest pilots.....
