This is pretty inconsiderate ... no announcement, just keep people hanging. Phones are turned OFF.

They know everyone is anxiously awaiting word, folks are losing sleep. This lets me know how our Reps view their constituency. Maybe we need someone in office who is a little more responsive.

Lots of pilots are going to be fatigued tomorrow if they don't get out some form of communication. They should at least send out something that says stop waiting for the train wreck and go to bed.

This is clearly not a good sign if they wait so long.

This merger will not happen. No way, no how.

I agree. If it's not coming out tonight, let me know...........4:30 van tomorrow.

For which side? I truly want to see something fair to both sides. I do not want a lop-sided award that creates a US Airways situation. I don't want to get screwed, but I also do not want a wind-fall at a fellow pilot's expense.

I totally agree. Its very Inconsiderate. Even if it was a single sentence to say please wait a few hours or until tomorrow. But nothing at this point is not professional. IMHO

Numerous calls and emails have been pouring in throughout the day to NWA ALPA reps and the ALPA office from pilots asking when the seniority list arbitration award will be published. As of 6:45 pm CST, the arbitrators’ award has not been received by the Merger committee. The Communications committee will notify Northwest pilots via FastRead and Code-a-phone as soon as the award is posted on the NWA MEC website.

Anyone believe the Arbitrators failed to meet a deadline?

Now that your side has said that they don't have the list yet do you still think he is lying?

There's a saying that the best agreement is one that leaves both sides "a little unhappy." Not sure if that would work in this case with all of the hyper emotions.

My guess is that they have concocted a super-complex integration formula and the respective MECs are trying their best to figure it out...

Regardless, you guys will be one team soon. Good luck and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been this excited/nervous since the "Who Shot J.R. Ewing" Dallas episode in 1981... This is real excitement - a nail biter.... I hear cricketts....

The arbitrators didn't issue a list...they issued an Award. It is a series of formulas.

The Merger Committees have to construct the list based on the formulas. Then they gotta compare them. Then they gotta publish them.

Chill.

Thanks Mark,

Finally a little bit of info...would be nice if the comm comit said it....

I think that's a very likely explanation. However:

Unless they're lying to us, they haven't even gotten the "set of formulas" from the three wise men yet. Hmmm.

What the HELL are you telling us to chill for!?! We (DAL) haven't heard ANYTHING from our MEC and want to know why? So you CHILL, bigshot..

FWIW, the Nicolau award contained the integrated seniority list as Attachment A, no calculations needed.

Nothing nefarious going on, both MEC's are simply waiting.
