My guess is he is at CAL.

Also FWIW, some of the most informed individuals on here are junior.

Knowledge does not come with seniority.
 
Listen, I'm not bashing you. Hell, I probably know you. But you talk and talk and talk like you actually know how this is going to turn out. I have a lot of friends at Delta and I wish you and all my friends the best. But you keep on and on about how this and that is going to work out.....you don't have a clue man!! I guess I can't blame you for saying no DOH or staples or whatever. If I was in your shoes I'd be praying for the same thing. It would suck to be on the bottom of a combined list of over 10,000 pilots. Furlough, no matter what you think, is a strong possibility. Maybe it's your own way of therapy. I was doing the same thing when CO and UAL were thinking about dancing. I was praying to god it wouldn't happen because I'd get so screwed, I'd be singing dixie for years to come out of my arse. But what's annoying is your constant posts....over and over...talking with authority. You have no idea what you talking about and have no weight to your argument. If you think the NW guys are just going to roll over and let you take.....you're wrong. Nothing in a merger is good, everyone hurts. Anyhow, best of luck.

Well, since they (NWA) are smaller than we are, if they get a bad turn out or don't like the result, then they won't be able to do the USAPA type deal. I don't want that to happen, but it that is the way it goes. NWA is used to turmoil and getting what they want. Well, what we want is fair, and we don't want to clean up their greenbook/redbook mess. Looking at precedent, (Nicelau) is looking more and more likely.

And, ACL65 seems to have good info, and we like when he posts.

Hey, I'm only bashing ACL for his CONSTANT freaking posts. It's like he has a IV drip of RedBull.

General, I don't like you either, but I find your information accurate and informative. You don't debate one side, but look at the big picture. I still thing your ego and deltoid attitude needs adjustment....I hear they bring you guys to a secret factory in Peachtree City to "convert" you....but you seem to have factual info. My argument with ACL isn't that. He's an 07 hire that's putting out a lot of info bashing NW pilots and what they want. It's going to get ugly, but it'll be REALLY ugly if you don't work together. ACL is only out for himself...hell, who wouldn't be if you're on the bottom. But he's out of a seniority grab and he's making his annoying argument.

Both of you guys have no idea how this is going to turn out right? Fact or fiction? If it's fact.....stfu will ya? You are both PRAYING this is going in favor of you and the other 07 hires. Personally, i think you're f***** because it's a very small number to get over this hurdle. If you think an 01 hire is going to take it while an 07 hire get's ahead....you're smoking crack. Anyhow...going to beat the dog now.

There are some people on here that have 95% of the info I have. I gave it to them. When these things come to fruition, they can point it out to you I will not.

As for arbitration, no kidding, it is a crap shoot. I know a lot of arbitrators, and they feel that the arbitration will go more our way than their way. Why? Facts.
 
BTW, I will be just fine if I get furloughed. I have alternate means of income. I am not stupid enough to solely rely on aviation for my family's food.
 
Remind me why I need to care? You know you can post more than a few sentences instead of posting 10 messages to get out 10 sentences. Or maybe it's because you have ideas that pop into your head slower than you type. I don't know, maybe that's the problem I have with you.

Thanks for not liking me. Anyways.........as far as drinking the koolaid, we all have pride for our companies, and we try to bring rumors and our opinions to this board. You have got to EXPECT that from this board. This isn't a direct link to the board rooms out there. This is an opinion board. As far as ACL65's argument, it is valid, since NWA is about to lose some 742s and half of their DC9s. If you knew that you were merging with UAL and they were bringing 737-300s to the table as they were on the way out, you would want the same. His argument is understandable, and Dalpa is fighting for it. Thanks to the Nicelau award for USair, it is likely. So, instead of slamming him, try to understand him.

BTW.....ACL....yes, I'm at CAL and we have a huge battle ahead. No, I didn't get turned down at DL. No I don't really care about Delta, but I have friends there that I hope things work out. Hell, I probably know you. But I know your type....just tone it down and go for a walk. I'm done here. Good luck to you guys.

ACL is an excellent source of accurate and timely information and analysis.

Fortunately, it is not up to the NWA guys. With what is happening in our economy, I don't know that it matters.

What does matter is our giving our jobs away during a period when jobs are harder and harder to come by. But no one seems to care ... simply amazing.

He might be accurate about other info, but he has no idea how this is going to play out. He thinks no DOH....in fact he's sure of it...and he basically mocks NW guys about their needs. Like he's been at DL for decades right? Sure, 07 hire...bet on it. I just have an issue with him posting his BS every single minute. He just got hired at DL and now he's talking like a big shot. It's called being a tadpole.....now going to be at the bottom of a huge list. I'm in the same situation.....very junior. It's not about that......it's about give this thread a break.

ACL, are you feeling alright? Ever since the DAL proposal was announced your posting has gone up tremendously and you seem to be a little uptight? Relax bud it will all be over soon. ;) Whats going to happen is going to happen regardless, so there is no point getting worked up. We aren't the arbitrators, we aren't the ones making the case and what ever happens we will figure out a way to live with it. Cheers :beer:

i agree and thats why i have decided not to get sucked into as many BS discussions anymore. To many flamebaiters and pointless banter to carry on a decent debate. Also both sides have a difference of opinion and regardless of what is said its unlikely we will be able to change each others opinions. Thats why this is in arbitration ;). We'll see in a month or so.
 
Exactly.
I like the discussing each side of the issue. Both sides have merit to them. Believe it or not I can see that.

As with you, I will be quite relieved when this is over, no matter what the outcome is. It is business, and we as a group cannot take any of this personally.
I would love for there to be no issues with the decision, arbitrated or negotiated, but I was not born yesterday.

I am a firm believer that we both need this merger, and in five years we will be quite happy with its outcome.....Now there is some Kool Aid for ya!

I dont consider that koolaid, i consider that realistic expectations that we can all agree on and hope for. Now we are getting somewhere ;)

Already Done :pimp: Learning a new airplane in the meantime so i dont get that new suit messed up once it comes in ;)
