Actually no, if you spent 15+ years at a stagnant airline, then you would have no seniority, in the case of the east, you could have been out on the street for a while.

West is being furloughed out of seniority because they're dragging out the DOH list. If it was honored the most junior would have been gone in proper order.

NO. West is furloughing out of seniority because "someone" is failing to follow the Transition Agreement. "Someone else" is failing to fight for the west pilots that are senior to the "third list" pilots.

If my new "union" had integrity and/or those east pilots that voted for USAPA we would have:
1. A new contract.
2. Implementation of the new seniority list that is a product of final and binding arbitration.
3. PSA'ers spending NO overnights in PHL, and more time with their families.
4. East pilots with an additional $60K or so annually, more vacation time, 100% mechanical, 100% deadhead (your flight attendants even get 100% DH & Mech., right??), and better QOL.

Of course it is. Seniority at US Airways was defined. Seniority at America West was defined. Problem is, at the NEW company formed by the merger of those two companies seniority was NOT defined. That's why an arbitrator had to decide instead of the "tyranny of the majority".

Interesting logic. By the same token, the East is dragging out your pay raises since we could've had a combined contract a year ago when the company was profitable. You made your choice because you thought you would benefit from it. We made our choice because it's the right thing to do.

Another non-trick question: Did AAA have in it's membership ratified PWA, that in the event of a merger with another ALPA pilot group seniority issues would be resolved through ALPA merger policy?

Last non trick question: Did ALPA merger policy include "final and binding" arbitration?

Look MCDUffus, how many times do we have to tell you. It doesn't apply to mergers, because it's not considered fair. The example you gave us is the same as a new hire to an airline, which has nothing to do with MERGING or AQUIRING airlines. Would banging your head against something solid help you think any better? If so can I suggest a brick wall.
