The pilots at NetJets ARE the best in the world. We are very proud of our crews. They are THE REASON we are the industry leader in fractional ownership.

There is a reason thousands of pilots want to join our ranks. There is a reason many of our owners will only fly on QS tails. It is the pilots.

.

Could not agree more. I have flown more than my share of Netjets charters during the busy seasons. On several occassions I have greeted the owners and although they were agreeable to flying on a non-QS tail, they were a little upset that they had to.

After one flight, an owner approached me a said he enjoyed his trip and how he was worried about flying non-QS tail #'s. He said its just when you are used to flying on QS tails and their pilots, you get used to the best. When you have to take vendor airplane you never know what you are going to get.

That speaks a lot for the company and its pilots. The owners have choices, and they have the money to go anywhere they want to. The keep choosing Netjets. The face of the company, the pilots, have to give these folks a reason to keep investing ther money here every flight.

The answer is the truth. If QXpeon would have done the minimum of research he could have answered his own question and kept the insults to a minimum.
BINGO..We have a winner. This thread can officially go too sleep! Hey Das and captain..you guys know the inmates run the assylum over here on the XL. Come on over, the water is plenty warm:D

I have been frustrated that alot of what I consider "Creme Dela Creme" (spelling?) Army pilots I know have been turned down in recent times. Very few hired that I know. As a result, many are looking elsewhere.

I would not give a letter to anyone (and havent) that I didn't think would be a great fit.

Since June of 07, I don't know of any Army guys from our units that have been hired.

I don't wanna stir a bunch of crap, but I think career military officers can be taught customer service.
Seamore,
I know there is a tremor in the force up in the hiring department, but NJA has been VERY military friendly in the past. Is this not the case now? I have written LOR's for half my unit and helped close to ten pilots get on here, all but one was prior Army. This last one is caught up in the changing of the guard. I hope we're not letting quality military guys slip through the cracks.

As for the yahoo who started this thread, please do us a favor and look elsewhere. You're muddying the waters for other deserving folks.

It is possible to make a true statement and be a sarcastic doosh bag at the same time. I wasn't referring to the veracity of the statement but more to the doosh baggish sarcasm of it.

Fair enough man.

In general, airline (not just regional) pilots don't understand customer service. AT ALL. They are terrible at it. All they do is get on the plane and turn left. They think making their PA is "good service" when in all actuality, it is annoying. At NetJets, flying the plane is only 20% of what we do. We are the CS rep, baggage handler, flight attendant, dispatcher (sometimes, when IJet is down), and pilot.

Sorry if this offends some, but it is how I feel. Our crews are the best in the world.

I'm sure NetJets does have a bunch of good talent. I just don't see why it's necessary to make insulting statements about an entire group of pilots who happen to work at airlines. There are some dlckheads at airlines as well as some exceptional men and women. I'm just sayin don't be a hater. Don't be hatin.

That's why I said, "In general,". I wasn't being insulting. I was stating fact. IN GENERAL, airline pilots do not understand what customer service is by NetJets definition. Not by a mile. It isn't an insult, it is a fact. Sorry if the truth hurts.
