The other night, we went out to eat at The Original Steak House in South Florida. It had closed. I just got a tax information sheet that says a condo we own dropped $50k in value in 12 months. The mall here other than a holiday weekend resembles Death Valley during a heat spell.
The economy is great.

Malls are packed in San Antonio. Home values are UP! Again! I try not to go out to eat in the evenings because its hard to find a parking spot and when you do the wait to get a seat in restaurants is too long for me.

First year teachers salaries are going up 20% this year. They are building giant size first class new High Schools.

The real estate market doesn't suck because of a bad economy, its because of the sub-prime lending.

There has been no announcement of any kind regarding 300 cancellations. We're still on track for 3 deliveries this year.

Wasn't it 30 or so the order?? how come only 3?

I know bombardier is soo behind on this A/C order, they can't building them fast enough to the customers, but I thought you guys were getting at least a bigger part of the pie!

Texas overall is doing very well compared to the rest of the country. There was a list published on CNBC.com not long ago that was comparing the economy of every state. Texas came out on top. We haven't had the crazy rise in real estate like the hardest hit states and thus not the fall either.

Dallas alone is said to create 20% of all of the nations new jobs. If that's actually the case it's quite impressive. It's cheaper for companies to be based in a Texan city, and companies don't have to pay as high salaries to their employes due to the low cost of living.

$300 000 gets you quite a nice house (at least in Dallas), but check what it gets you in the North East, California and other expensive areas where prices have rocketed over the last few years.

Hey Captain Dad,

You obviously have not worked for Netjets that long if you still believe anything OS says or one of our sales reps.

Yes, and old news. Every fractional is deferring aircraft deliveries due to significantly reduced owner demand. Yes, even netjet.
As GHW Bush said, "It's the economy, stupid."

NetJets has not slowed. We have maintained the delivery schedule.

Is there any correlation with your delivery schedule and the guy in the other thread complaining about too much standby and multiple airplanes sitting around? Are your EJM managed airplanes getting as much sell-off flying as they used to?
