I think it's pretty lame of you to start a post about how great your company is (or was) and than two months later, you're bashing the *hit out of it.. You said "you posted the initial thread as a favor", I'm sure the only favor that you did AS, was quit..

We did all pilots a favor by quiting, maybe they will finally shut down that abortion of a airline.

You know in Mexico if you pay enough money they attain any finding you want. What can a 121 D.O. do to help the investigation of a plane he's not typed in, for a "company" he doesn't work for?

  • What is it like over there these days?
  • Will they make me sign a training contract if I bring a Falcon type with me?
  • Any chance of street Captain (without stepping on someone else's toes).
  • Is hiring preference given to people living in YIP already?
  • How many Falcons do they have? What equipment are in them.
  • How is Business?
  • Anyone working there that can shoot me a PM I would appreciate it. I'll take all the help I can get!
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOW DO WE APPLY?
Thanks everyone.

way2broke,
climbto350 has a great one click to apply that immediately sends your 350 resume to the employer, have you done that?

NJA used climbto350 back in '05 when I hired on, how I got the job

Thanks NJA. I have not gotten my own 350 account yet, because don't think I am going to need it. I am however using a friends just to keep myself in the loop on what is out there. So far that is the only job I have seen on there that I have jumped on. There really isn't that much on there that is domestic and worth your time right now. As always, I appreciate everyone's help.

Do not go to amerisuck. Coming from USAJet, you will be sorely dissapointed. It would be like going from sitting in first class to a coach seat in between two 350lb fat a$$'es on a 12 hour flight. Only that 12 hour flight lasts for your entire stay at ameristar.

Thank's Windsor, but I'm not coming from USA Jet, I am coming from the unemployment line. :( I don't have any illusions of granger flying Cargo anywhere, unless there is a Purple or Brown tail behind me, and their not exactly banging down my door. But I know they are on there way, maybe they just got lost or something, or they went to the wrong apartment? 362 dollars a week from the great state of Michigan isn't exactly going to pay the bills if you know what I mean. All joking aside, if you really feel strongly about this shoot me a PM.

I'm soon to be furloughed as well and wondering what life is like at Ameristar... I'm somewhat familiar with the operation in passing as I was YIP based when flying for CASW a couple of years ago. I know it was never a first class operation..., but the crews were. Trying to get a feel if I could hang my hat there for a short while.

Just need a job as soon as the furlough is a reality, have bills to pay and a wife to take care off.

Do they still require you to sign a contract? What's the average pay like? Upgrade time for a higher time guy? Day's off? Commuting? Bases? Medical Insurance? How do you get to fly the Pt. 121 side of the house? Most importantly what is the training like and how is the equipment maintained nowaday's?
