Some of your 20% pay raise will help pay for that.....and think of all of the 744 upgrades your senior guys will get when they transition to our long haul rules (2 Capt 2 FOs per long haul over 12 hour flight), and the lack of 5 day DC9 trips....

You're funny. 20% huh? Wow. 9 to 10% + 5% on 1/1/09 = 20%. Cool math. 744 upgrades? Yeah, maybe we can get some of those back from when we had the same 2 crew rule before BK. That's good. 5 Day DC9 trips? You deltoids just love to drive to the airport don't ya? You must since you have to do it at least 1 extra time/month. Not to mention the commuters who get their month done with 3 commutes thanks to 5 day commutable trips. Unless your 3 and 4 day domestics are worth 27+ hours it's going to suck for our commuters.

What are the average line values (range) for some of DAL's fleets.

Doing the math, the raises NWA pilots will get vs increased medical, low line values will result in less overall in the paycheck for many.

Don't forget to factor in the increase in years of service for your guys who were furloughed. We get credit for time we were on the street towards years of service.

No doubt. That is a great benefit and if it made it into the TA, as I've heard it did, then it corrects a huge negative that our junior guys have endured.

Wow, sounds terrible for you. A raise, equity, and the chance to commute closer to your home eventually. I'd say you should stay unhappy and just move to MSP and bid the -9..... With your raise you can buy a Ford Festiva and drive it more often to the airport----get a red one too. Boo hoo.

Wow. You're funny AND clueless! Congrats!

Who said I was unhappy? All I said is that YOU apparently flunked math. 20%? Show me.

I work at the Laugh Barn on Thursday nights in Alpharetta, you should come out...

Hey, look at the bright side....their reserve guarantee is only 70 hours....but at least you won't know from month to month whether you'll be on reserve or not. Yeah, those NWA work rules are so vastly inferior.....

you can control whether or not you risk being on reserve. If you don't want to sit reserve, don't bid something until you are senior enough that you are sure you won't get any reserve. Your choice.

That said, there are some advantages to being able to bid reserve when needed. I hold a line in my category, but I am not senior enough to get a regular line with Christmas off. So I bid reserve in Dec and got it off. If I can't get a line with everything I need off, reserve can be an option.

I would much rather have our system than the NW system with regards to block holder and reserve being seperate categories.
