Just saw on CNBC that USair's average fuel bill per pax is $266.00 Thats just for the gas!!!!!!

God help us all!!! Its a race to the bottom!!!!!

Wall street journal had an article yesterday, they predict oil to hit $250 by this time next year. Forget about airline disasters, now we'll be talking civil wars in poor countries.

I think they were quoting the Russian oil company Gazparom (sp?). I don't trust those guys either. Obviously demand for oil will spike until a certain price when people will not travel at all - at that point supplies will rise and prices will decline again.

We need to start drilling off the coasts of California and Florida - there are billions of barrels in both locations that we REFUSE to drill. It's ridiculous...

OLD SCHOOL -- who is US Air?

Man you are old school aren't you? US Air died over 3 years ago. The new US Airways was created in May 2005 when America West and our Management Team was able to raise the financing to bring that old dog back to life and out of bankruptcy. The new US Airways was a partnership of East and West, but only the West saw it that way, the old US Air guys figured it was still their airline. Now West pilots are being furloughed at a 30% higher rate than the East pilots. Some partnership indeed.

I sincerely hope this $hithole goes out of business this time before it has the opportunity to ruin more families.

WD.
