The pictures funny. DL has so many RJS they used one in the picture. The reporter probably thinks thats all DL fly's.
lets hope this is the first big step in the right direction!!

I hope you guys come out on top.
Looks bad that AFA was voted down by DL FAs...call me a cynic, but I would make &*%$% sure that NW guys are protected from being furloughed first. I get suspicious when I see how DL pilots are being "led" (in w/mgt), and also seeing "438" planned to hire in Fall of all times.
Be VERY suspicious about the potential for attempts to make the playing field FURTHER unequal in hopes of mgt getting the pilots to decertify ALPA. Lee Moak also adds to the raised suspicions by his actions, and I HOPE that he hasn't been drawn to the allure of big compensation for leading you mgt's way.
You know that decertification is the next move against AFA and the mechanics union.
Good luck guys...hoping for the best

Not to mention the picture of the compass pointer pointing to the Northeast on the NWA jet....what a joke.
Not sure if you are joking, but the right side of the tail looks like that on all NWA planes... ???
You don't really sound like the voice of reason, rather the voice of a paranoid person. We shall see.....
Bye Bye--General Lee
Yes...that is the joke...(right side of NWA aircraft with new logo) has the pointer (Compass pointer) pointing to the northeast and left side points to the northwest...thus Northwest Airlines....original logo pointed to the northwest on both sides.....was a big oops when the new logo was put on. Someone forgot to notice this.
They didn't forget they just decided that it was more important to have a logo that was pointing forward than to have a logo that aligned with the name of the company. For some reason the people who design aircraft paint schemes always want the logo to point forward and recently they don't want all of the logo on the tail. Reference NWA, DAL, UAL, among others. I think they all used the same guy to design their liveries. US Airways apparently didn't get the memo because the logo actually fits on the tail, but for some reason the flag on the right side of the airplane flies upwind.
I hope you guys come out on top.

Before I place you on my ignore list.....
The NWA should get furloughed if their 9s go away...AND DAL guys should get furloughed if the 9s stay and 88s go away. So stop your cheerleading for airlines you don't work for.
Second....the ugly truth is the word "merger' is just to make the media happy. Its not a merger...it's an acquisition.
I want to obtain a fair SLI, if nothing else, for the sake of working with happy people, but fair is fair. However, with this not actually being a "merger" there are some crazy expectations and wants out there...if those goes to arbitration and the arbitrator views it as an acquisition.....it might get ugly.
If DALALPA really wants whats best for both groups like some of the DAL guys say then i ask this question. Do you think DALALPA would stand up to DAL mgmt if they try and drag this out? Do you think DALALPA will stand with NWALAPA if DAL mgmt wants to hold NWA pilots back over time? I hope so. That will be where DALALPA to show what their real intentions are and I hope we can get this done together. We shall see. NWALPA and Pilots wont sit back and let it happen anyway but i has the questions for you DAL guys.
You're Hilarious.Yes, Yes.
There is a caveat, DALPA will also not put up with the same BS they have been putting up with regarding the NWALPA SLI proposals. The MEC is genuine in everything they put out. They are tiring of the crap coming from the other side, until lately. Things seem to be calming down, and quieting down, from the NWA MEC

Superpilot, just remember that it's our contract too.

It's not all about NWA pilots. It's a joint contract, we'd like some improvements too, and don't be too judgmental, as if the Delta pilots have to prove something to the NWA pilots, because we don't. NALPA will not dictate the negotiating process anymore than DALPA will.
We shall see. NWALPA and Pilots wont sit back and let it happen anyway but i has the questions for you DAL guys.

Sorry that DALPA has had to put up with the BS of NALPA insisting on a fair SLI. I know.....BS isn't it?
"Hey, ___________(insert military call sign here), this is BS from them!!" "You're right__________(insert other military call sign here)
!!!" (executes high five with ________)
How 'bout the "BS" of DAL coming up with 3 measly negotiating days in June? Will DALPA put up with that BS? Guess someone doesn't really think they need to get this done quickly huh? Why would that be? Hmmmmmm
We have a little "caveat" for you too.![]()
it doesn't sound to me like the DL mgmt wants this to drag out at all... quite the contrary.
I dont know if you misunderstood my post or maybe i didn't present the question properly. I was just asking what would the DALALPAs stance be IF we (NWALPA and DALALPA) come to a joint contract and present it to mgmt only to have mgmt drag their feet with approving it? What then would DALALPAs stance be? Would they stand with us until DAL mgmtapproved it or would they let DAL mgmt attempt to bring us up in "Harmonization" over time?
I can only speak for myself. I would stand behind you guys and take whatever actions were necessary to get the deal done in a timely manner. NWA pilots are not my enemy, management is. For those who have forgotten this, read the bankruptcy transcripts!

Bingo brotha. I am hearing that the joint agreement leapfrogs loa19 and is closer to the feb agreement. What are y'all hearing? Looking forward to getting this behind us and moving forward.
We are all loooking forward to getting this behind us and the entire process too.
JMHO, but I think when management signed LOA19, they knew this was just part of the deal and held some back in reserve for the joint contract. They're not fools, they knew that we (DALPA/NALPA) would be back for a joint contract.
