so you're on record as saying that was a labor action?

300 flights "sting a little?" probably saved far more in fuel costs than the revenue they would have produced...many of those tickets were probably sold when oil was 80 bucks a barrel.

Well if you can out-right cancel 300 flights and save money...then why is Delta in business?

You are not going to be able to straight across raise fares to cover the oil increase so what else do you have up your sleeve smart guy?

Richard did a great job saving NWA. Before he left for United Healthcare he secured our future and our industry leading payscale by getting an initial 15% out of our pay even before CH11 set in.

Lets not forget how well RA secured our mechanics future when the times got tough.
He was very successful on creating a lot of jobs for texas imigrants in San Antonio.

I hope that DAL can weather the storm intact.

It was about the FAA saving face in the wake of the media's reporting on the Southwest thing. I was never about safety of flight and a wiring bundle.
 
Are you trying to rain on Delta's parade ? Can't you see that they have a lot going on right now!

Report: Northwest planes pulled for repair

Northwest Airlines Corp. pulled seven of its Boeing 757s out of service earlier this month to fix front wing slats on the planes, the St. Paul, Minn., Pioneer Press reported Friday.
Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest (NYSE: NWA) told the paper that on March 14, the airline uncovered during inspections that some of the wing slats were not in agreement with Boeing blueprint drawings for slat repair. The company informed the Federal Aviation Administration about the issue.
Slats are the aerodynamic surfaces on the front edge of an aircraft's wing.
A total of 10 slats on the seven planes were replaced by the company's mechanics, but no service disruptions resulted from the action.
In the past week, several major U.S. airline carriers such as Delta Air Lines and American Airlines have pulled planes and canceled flights after maintenance reviews revealed potential problems with their fleets.
Northwest operates one of its three U.S. hubs at Memphis International Airport.
