This was long overdue!
I wonder if he did the same with his other screen names?

Also, how many times have I proven you wrong on this board? Many times. You need to back up your claims, really.
Bye Bye--General Lee
The mighty 767. Slow, doesn't even carry the standard cargo containers. Cost them 100's of orders on it. The bastard child of Boeing airplanes. Boeing even considers it a Middle Airplane Category type and not a widebody except for the last model. Carry on LT Lee.
Hpilot, Love the avatar!!!! Wish I could order one of those !!

GL, you have proven nothing other than you talk/type over, through and past everyone here.
There has been no merger as of yet, no agreed to anything between MEC's. Much of your "proof" is quoted press statements, and you seem to think RA is actually going to keep his word, as if it was Gospel, cause' he said so in the press.
You seem to be engaged in a continuous DMC over mine is bigger, better, etc., and make the assumption that there are only two kinds of pilots - DAL pilots and those who want to be.
I'm not sure how this thing will play out, but personally have no desire to wear a DAL uniform, and hope that your hubris is not typical of the breed.
Thanks Mstr Sargent. How is that DHL contract going on your cargo birds? But hey, I am sure you will find a replacement.
Bye Bye--General Lee
DAL has a lousy balance sheet! They have almost twice the debt, without twice the revenue, of NWA!
Delta president: We're strong enough to go it alone
General can't handle it when you slam his beloved Delta. News flash for ya general, not everyone wants to fly for DAL. I know in your mind you think it's the best airline in history and will continue to be so. Whatever gets ya to sleep at night. Keep believin what you read and believin whats gonna happen if DAL merges with another carrier.
Only a few thousand more to the next magical number....BRAVO!!
And even if they're not, A BK filing will always be available.
A lot of your Jetblue guys have been hired here lately. Of course I have to wonder why, when you now have that flow down with Cape Air.
Bye Bye--General Lee
Flow Down? Whatever you think there genius....
Kinda like your flow down to Comair...and don't just copy and paste another article you read on the internet somewhere. I can do that all day long as well. Oh, I forget, you know it all and Delta management is the best and Delta will never be bought and NEVER file bankruptcy again.
We should take bets on when DAL files again. I do have a question. If after BK their 88 leases went from 280K a month to $80K, what can you get them down to in another trip thru BK? $0?
If Delta mgt was so good, why did they ever accept such crappy leases? I personally feel that convenient trips through Ch 11 is about on par with gov subsidies. Call me a Darwinist, but Delta should have had to sink or swim in the free market. It's sad they had to go the hand out route.
Are you sure you can afford it on your pay scales??

That car is sweet. I found a proto-type picture of concept trans-am that looks pretty good also. link below

Nice links. I put money down to hold an order for the 427(modern ZL-1) version soon to be anounced. If they change their mind I get the money back otherwise I figure it's worth the extra 10k. I had a COPO camaro back in the day, but sold it to start a business.
I won't bid the DC9--you can bet on that.
Bye Bye--General Lee
Actually our current value is closer to $7 billion, only $1 billion less than Southwest is worth.
Bye Bye--General Lee
Even you cant be that stupid to believe that. How do you come up with 7 billion for SWA. Our fuel hedges alone are worth 4 B.

Where do I start??
Leo Mullin and Michelle Burns and crew mortgaged the airline to the hilt, thinking that this whole September 11 thing would be short lived. They were wrong, as history showed. It took a awhile for traffic to return. They were agreeing to interest rates of 31 percent in equipment leases and then hoarding the cash. All while this was going on, knowing full well the airline couldn't sustain that, they set up Bankruptcy proof pension plans for themselves. As they hoarded cash, the stock price remained propped up while the airline couldn't keep up with the interest payments.
So you believe 60000 employees should lose their jobs because of 5 scumbags??? Did the office guy at Enron deserve to lose his job for his actions?? This was the exact reason Bankruptcy was created. To re-organize and believe it......it wasn't for free....it cost a lot in lawyers (more scumbags) and fees just to dance on the carpet of the courts.
But then again, you know everything, I just can't believe I just wasted 2.4 minutes typing this out to a
schoolgirl hiding behind his flightsuit.....
Call me a free market capitalist...I just think that the strong should survive. Maybe Delta wasn't the weakest legacy (I'm sure that's a whole debate on it's own), but we will never know. All this consolidation talk now probably wouldn't be happening if there wasn't Ch 11 to hide in. Someone would probably be gone and those employees would move on to other airlines or other industries. And the capacity would be lower.
I'm sorry you guys were run by some scum bags...still, as a taxpayer, that's not really my fault. Blame your BOD. I shouldn't have to pay for a safe harbor for Delta to work out it's issues while well run airlines have to compete without the benifit of hiding behind the government.
Well gee. What I made of selling several homes two years ago was more than you'll make in 10 years. Oh it sucks to be you.![]()

Talk about stupid. I said "I am not smarter than a 3rd grader..."
