General dont give yourself to much credit, I think you are more like a 3 yr old ,and even that is a stretch. :)

Hillarious. Thanks Dad.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Talk about stupid. I said $7 billion for Delta, which was $1 billion LESS than Southwest. Go back to 3rd grade math. How much would Southwest have if that is the case? That would be $ 8 Billion. I read those numbers on the internet like good old future Cape Air Flow Back Zippy stated. I will try to verify those, but in the mean time, you must look into the camera and state "I am not smarter than a 3rd grader..."

Get ready for your "flowback" to Comair there general. I bet you stand in front of the mirror every morning and congratulate yourself for being such a super guy.....I aspire to be as smart and articulate as you some day and maybe put on that coveted uniform you so proudly wear. Oh, dare to dream......

Flowback to Comair? Well, if that is so, then caution wake turbulence in your C402--those RJs can turn them over quick I bet.

As far as being smart and articulate as me someday, well, I think you might never get there. And the part about wearing a Delta uniform, you do have to the ability to throw in an app any time you want. Now getting past the interview, medical test, and psych test---that will be like climbing Mt Everest for you. But, maybe you can do it. Everyone needs goals, and I think you have one........

Call me a free market capitalist...I just think that the strong should survive. Maybe Delta wasn't the weakest legacy (I'm sure that's a whole debate on it's own), but we will never know. All this consolidation talk now probably wouldn't be happening if there wasn't Ch 11 to hide in. Someone would probably be gone and those employees would move on to other airlines or other industries. And the capacity would be lower.

I'm sorry you guys were run by some scum bags...still, as a taxpayer, that's not really my fault. Blame your BOD. I shouldn't have to pay for a safe harbor for Delta to work out it's issues while well run airlines have to compete without the benifit of hiding behind the government.

I agree with you on the free market. Over the past several decades, Delta, along with many other airlines, has had to compete with airlines operating under chapter 11. CAL went through twice. Maybe if the laws had not been so lenient towards those airlines, Delta and the others would never have been as weakened as they were. Delta did not make the bankruptcy rules. They, like many airlines before them, used them to restructure and move forward.

Well gee. What I made of selling several homes two years ago was more than you'll make in 10 years. Oh it sucks to be you. :D :D :D :D

Really? You made over 1.1 million selling homes? IF THAT IS TRUE....and you still work for a commercial airline..you have some psych issues.

With the change in the BK rules, hopefully the industry will be able to work out the weak links naturally now. I'm not sure how different the CH 11 laws are, but I hear that BK isn't the gub'ment hand out it once was.

Oh you better believe he has psych issues!:D

I'm sure this idiot has something negative to say about DAL. I strongly suggest everyone do this and pay no attention to the troll!

I think as an aviation community, we should stage some sort of anger managment intervention for 737 Plyt. He obviously has some deep issues that a paid professional should help him sort out. I now feel sorry for him. He needs our help.

He should heed Stuart Smally's advice: "Face it, chase it, and erase it."

Good luck 737 Plyt. I hope you get the help you need.

Serenity now.....Serenity now!

I'm telling you folks, put this jerk on your ignore list. Soon he'll be posting more and more as his alter ego jke406!

Even you cant be that stupid to believe that. How do you come up with 7 billion for SWA. Our fuel hedges alone are worth 4 B.

$7 billion was for Delta, Southwest was $1 billion more. It's actually closer to a $2 billion spread. $6.7 billion market cap for DAL and $8.6 billion at LUV. The gap was wider last week, but Delta stock is up over th last 5 days whereas Southwest is down a couple percent. (As of COB Feb 5th.)

What....You think you're the only one selling homes on the side? ;)
Now I know why a college degree wasn't necessary to get hired at the cactus club!

737

Hey now, some of us have four year degrees here. It's even from an accredited school. Delta, American, Alaska, Northwest, United, etc. weren't hiring when I got on here. I'm just waiting to see how the next year goes(mergers) before I jump ship.

Why you calling the poor 76 slow. mmo of .86 last i checked isn't too shabby. Plus the stumpy -200 will outclimb everything (almost) out there.

As for CAL putting the 757into europe, yes not the best airplane for the atlantic, but you know what, it kept CAL out of BK. Now everbody else is doing it including BA. It's the RJ of the atlantic and makes lots of money. You can't go to some of these small cities in europe with a 767 and make money.
