The award had to be re-run, but the results were just released....

There were 136 un-filled slots as follows:

CLT Airbus - 6 open slots
CLT 737 - 28 open slots

DCA Airbus - 24 open slots
DCA 737 - 4 open slots

PHL 737 - 15 open slots
PHL Airbus - 18 open slots
PHL 190 - 25 open slots

LGA Airbus - 15 open slots

BOS Airbus - 1 open slot

Sorry for my ignorance but were these FO slots, CA Slots or combined slots. Thanks for the info!

In addition this bid was for only one month. Heard it was basically just a realignment bid, since so many guys were held from equipoment due to retirement etc. Now age 65 they had to get every realigned, and that there will be a much bigger bid for May/June/July...

Also the last J4J's that were released from prison, I believe many of them got 76/76 I and D, a few of them are into block holder realm out of phl/lga etc....

Anyone know who is left to be released from Republic??? I.E. Do you know their ML hire dates?

Where are all the vacancies from? Is there growth and reitirements? Or a training float?

Attrition and a bit of growth.
Still has about 2800 active positions.

I'm not arguing that-- what i'm saying is that there is a lot of talk that these 190 upgrades are a huge victory--- i just don't see it at rates like that... I wouldn't compare work rules- -- maybe to mesa-- but most regionals work rules are better than usair-- you've really fallen off- and you're letting pride get in the way of a new contract

Isn't the same 16 year guy flying captain at ASA making $98/hour flying a much smaller airplane than your E190 "captain" who makes $95? They top out at $105- AAA tops at $95...

let's keep comparing: Eagle CRJ700= $97tops at$100,Skywest: $94/$99, ExpressJet which only flies 50 seaters (half the airplane...) comes in at $93 and tops at $97- Mesa (YES, MESA!!) $95/hr at year 16 tops at $104 THE KICKER-REPUBLIC PILOTS MAKE MORE THAN YOU: A LOT MORE E-175=$108 tops at $119, E-170=$98 tops at $108- Again, AAA E-190= $95/hour

...You guys have put "CAPTAIN" on such a pedestal, you've lost all perspective to what a good job should be in either seat... Don't let anyone fool you- all this debate is - is AAA pride- to everyone's detriment, but mostly their own. It's shameful.

what was said on another thread i might repeat til my retirement: "our esteem issues cost us dearly...."

You really need to get a life.

You are just jealous because you can't bid it.

I bet guys/gals getting hired now will be able hold Captain on the E190 inside of a year. That is a great opportunity for them.

Youre right, i'm jealous.

Keep telling yourself that fighting nic is a good thing. You're only screwing yourself. But at least you'll take America West with you, right? When i got into the airlines 10 years ago- 3rd year FO pay industry wide was $95/hour-- now it's a big deal--- as a captain? you've lost your collective minds.

I don't have a dog in this fight- i mention it b/c we pattern bargain in this industry. Our union does not work if the airlines that have opportunities don't take them. You had a bargaining position this summer that you won't get back for some time. That you didn't get pay up means that you continue to pull ALL of us down...*(You're familiar with the term "bottom-feeder" aren't you?- you know- the term that you all use to describe what america west was before you saved them...) And all b/c you've been in the industry for HOW LONG? and you still don't know that seniority does not transfer company to company??

With age 65, will those new hires still be able hold it in a year? Can you back that up? I will agree with you that if new hires can hold E-190 captain inside of a year- that's great for them.... what about all the 15 year pilots that have been shafted for years? Is it a good deal for them? Better than mowing lawns i'm sure...

Working on getting that life...

moderators... for my own good- could you block me?

Wave I don't understand something???

You start out by slamming the Nic fighters and then in the end of your post you are concerned about the fairness with regards to the 15 year pilots that got shafted.... Isn't that a contradiction?

I'm not trying to fight here, I'm just trying to understand your post......

I'm for free movement between companies like every other professional. If we don't have that- then i'm for a national list. DOH.

But that's not the deal=-SENIORITY IS NOT LONGEVITY- SENIORITY IS "HOW MANY PILOTS DO I HAVE UNDERNEATH ME?"-- the deal is and always has been that each pilot accrues seniority ONLY within their company. I think it's awful that after 15+years a AAA pilot can still be at the bottom of the list. But they also had 15+ years to see that they were at the BOTTOM-and make a move to a growing company if they chose to do so. None of that is an AWA pilot's fault.

They have it twisted. They think that the Nic award is unfair under an assumably fair seniority system. That's not correct. The Nic award IS FAIR, under a blatantly unfair seniority system.

USAir pilots have endured the worst that can happen to a pilot in our seniority game-- I'd rather have them standing with me arguing ALPA for a national list than giving up a negotiating position they won't have again for some time and fighting a battle they won't win.

Is there a scenario where fighting the nic award- even if they "win" will be viewed in the end as a positive for any pilot. The only victor is a guy named doug.
