The additional aircraft type may well be smoke and mirrors. It is interesting though that while other regionals (mesa especially) are struggling to cover their flying, SkyWest has a boat load of reserves.
SkyWest traditionally runs pretty lean. Why are they staffed at current levels?

Heard from a senior chief pilot, mgmt is "planning" on Messa going out of business this summer, and picking up their flying. Priceless! going from being the premier regional(oxymoron) to carrion eater, whats next?

Cuzz ALPA is really driving the regional wages sky high.
