Can anyone explain the Post Interview process. Got the call from CP saying welcome to the family. What happens next and how soon?

ie. drug test, back ground check, physical.

Welcome.

You will probably do the drug test during indoc.

The background check takes a while and will probably be started soon.

Physical??? You're breathing right???

Just kidding of course, I really don't know the answers, just my guess... Despite all the negative posts this thread will probably generate, it's really not that bad. Good luck and have fun!

BTW, did they give you a class date?

USAir or US Airways?

If you got a call from the CP of USAir or as you spell it US Air, you must be getting on with super seniority. See, the name CHANGED in 1997. Maybe by the time you finish IOE, you'll get the name straight.

Gee, CaptBud.... sure would be fun flying a whole month with you.

P.s. Mohawk ceased to exist in the 70s...

See, I told you so....

And this from someone who is holding on to Mohawk...

Way to be a prick Bud.

Coro, congrats on the new job. Hopefully the likes of Bud will be gone soon enough as they are a cancer that can only be beat with time.

They will send out a Fedex package soon to your house. You will do the drug test at a local site.

They are in discussions now about the next class date in Jan.

"Welcome to the family. Of the 1800 family members we kicked out a few years ago, only about 300 family members came back, so we're glad to see you!"

Probably has nothing to do with the physical and verbal abuse the "kids" have had to endure...

But then again, with the disdain for hats, disrespect for a senior pilot on this board, and the proper use of the family's name...sounds like the chickens will be running the roost anyway.

Seriously, best of luck to you -- just make sure you keep your logbook and resume up to date, have a plan "B", and possibly a plan "C".

When I was laid off in 02, I had over 1100 people junior to me out of a pilot group 6076 pilots strong. 20% of the group was junior to me. Keep your resume up to date and be prepared. You are never senior enough to be safe.

Come out west on the 737, there is still a little time to get in on some good, clean fun flying short legs on the west coast, separated from the fungus infection of a few years ago.
