If you got a call from the CP of USAir or as you spell it US Air, you must be getting on with super seniority. See, the name CHANGED in 1997. Maybe by the time you finish IOE, you'll get the name straight.

You must be former Allegheny.

I like how he said "we took US Airways...an airline that was on the brink of liquidation and combined it with..."

You left out the part where Parker said America West had $125 Million in working Capital before taking US Air on the brink of liquidation. At our past quarterly profits numbers of 15-30 Million, seems like we could have sustained 5/6 quarters in equivalent losses before our working capital was used up. Even then, we would have been able to borrow. Gosh, what would have happened if AWA kept making the 15-30 Million per quarter .... ? Instead we have the East ball and chain tied to the struts.

Big CONGRATS to those who are coming aboard. Come West and don't worry, be happy.

He mentioned 330's and 350's. What happened to the 340's?

Now they are talking about possibly not getting the 340's and waiting for the 350's.

In the meantime (as a temp. stop gap measure) to operate the A330 to Asia. Of course that means blocking half of the seats and topping it off with gas. The gate problem in PHL is the "reason" for this.
