Might not be an outright sale:

AMR continues to evaluate the form of the divestiture, which may include a spin-off to AMR shareholders, a sale to a third party, or some other form of separation from AMR.

To more directly answer your question, Alaska Air Group is sitting on $900 million. That might be enough cabbage.

Word around the Eagle boad is that it will be OO, they are the only ones with enough cash on hand to buy AE, this could get interesting if it were to be the case, pretty much our entire list is more senior then OO's.
