I was ashamed of riddle from square one. The moment i saw that gay folder peppered with bratty kids surfing and riddle skanks trying to act sexy. God if you are going to hit us with a meteor please make ERAU the center of the impact.

Riddle skanks? Are these guys who wear skirts?

I personally think lanyards of any kind are tacky looking. I think I'd rather wear a pink tootoo than a lanyard.

Back in the early 90's riddle guys were p.o.'d when their diploma didn't come wrapped in a UAL application. But I guess when mommy and daddy are wondering what kind of return they're getting on juniors education-he needs to run out and find the quickest shiny jet he can find.

Riddle...

I have never been there-but I am embarassed and ashamed for all who have and all who will. That place really instills in the vast majority of its grads all the wrong values!

Suckit-ERAU!

I was ashamed of Embry-Riddle for the first time yesterday when I saw a HoJets pilot walking through IAD with an Embry-Riddle lanyard on. With all the ********************ty things about that school I was never dissapointed until yesterday. You would think for $100k someone would teach these kids what this company is and has done. If there are any current ERAU students that don't know what this company has done PM me and I will give you a lesson that won't cost you hundreds of dollars.

Hey man...you can't be ashamed of Riddle because of some choice some guy made. The younger the pilots, the less understanding they'll have about outfits like GoJets and what "scab" really means...(not GoJets).

Secondly...all of you Riddle haters...I don't quite understand. Either you went there...didn't like it. I'd ask, then why didn't you transfer out. OR...you wanted to go but didn't get accepted and ofcourse now you'll talk smack.

I'm proud to have gone there. I fly with many guys that feel the same way. YES, I know there are a hand full of the "mommy/daddy" paid gig...but that is over-stereo typing. I'm still paying for it all and so are a bunch of buddies of mine. Opportunities I got there paved a path that allowed me to reach Captain at a regional when I was 24...no special treatment. I'm the only one in my family in the airline world.

I had more than a few fresh Riddle grads as my FO. Only a small few needed an ego correction.

I know ERAU isn't the only nor the best game in town for aviation degrees...but it sure isn't worst either.

I agree. I'm currently attending Riddle, but for me it was convenient because of the Distance Learning Program. There are people out there that hate just about every school you can name. Riddle like all places has it's ups and downs. I know more than one alum that will tell me they should have gone to the WW campus instead of Daytona because it would have been alot cheaper.

I think riddles admitance requirements consist of having a check book.

"Congratulations on your ERAU degree, the most expensive and therefore best school"

Back after Mother Nature first tried to remove Riddle like a festering zit from the face of Florida with a tornado.. The small flight school I instructed at loaned them a few of our 172's after a desperate call from them... They didn't want to miss a chance to bill Johnny and Susie's parents
for one less tick of the hobbs meter..

Anyways I was tasked with shuttling our planes to Daytona and then enduring the flight back with some of their "finest"

As we crossed over/around Orlando International each time.. here's some of the comments that just seem to epitomize recent grads:

"It's just seems stupid they make you instruct for so long before you get hired at a regional, i'm not gonna know anything more then than I know now"
(then he missed a radio call)

when I asked the other one about the cost of tuition:

"Pretty soon everyone at an airline will be competing with someone from Riddle for a job.. then you'll know what the extra money is for"

"i'd feel safer knowing someone from ERAU was flying my family"
(another missed radio call)

and my personal favorite was when i was in the back seat on the last flight home when one said to the other:

"so did you end up hooking up with that fat chick?"
