-after 6 months when you realize this the worst place to work in the U.S and you’re ready to take all that great jet time with you to another regional they come after you for thousands of dollars and attempt to ruin your credit.

As much as I enjoy reading these threads, and take every opportunity to persuade aspiring airline pilots to avoid Mesa, quotes like this make me cringe.

You may feel like the victim, they may have been deceptive, you may feel like you've found the legal loophole to get out of it, but it's still unethical to break a training agreement.

The only way I can see breaking an agreement is if they're asking you to do something illegal or unsafe. Is this the case? If it is, seriously, that's the point you should be making, not that it's "wrong" to have you sign an agreement and threaten to come after you when you fail to live up to your end of it.
 
pdub is an idiot, reason 14. that boy has a lot to learn, and it will be the hard way.
 
Your a Effin idiot. you obviously dont work for mesa. The last upgraded capt was JFK:hired July 2005 and 17 more just started ground school.

Hotel is paid for in training....

you a ****************************** if you think all flying is going to China...

why dont you just take a seat and stop reading old info

It is an illegal contract if Mesa did not mention it anytime during the interview or application process.

Nowhere on a pilot application does it mention a training contract. As organized as their interview circus is, they often "forget" to mention it.

Furthermore, they make you sign it after becoming employed with Mesa. If you don't, you're fired. If you sign it you've signed it under duress...

The law is the law. Besides, why be ethical with Mesa when they have been anything but?

I was not defending anything or anyone...just letting a 3 year FO know he is wrong about only being able to bid to the CRJ. So F%$# off.

Your a former Gulfstream PFTer and all you do is degrade people whom you think are bringing down the industry. I'm not defending anyone or any airline but no one is more guilty of dragging down the industry than yourself. Tool!
 
Besides, why be ethical with Mesa when they have been anything but?

For your own sake. Your next employer may approve of you ditching Mesa, but what about the next one? Or your Dream Job down the road?

I know Mesa doesn't "deserve" your integrity, but why give them an opportunity to say anything other than you fulfilled your obligation and moved on.
 
If you're stupid enough to be a pilot for Mesa, you deserve what you get or you could get smart, go into managment and whack off to porn on your computer all day and make the big bucks.........
