I hear the mechanics had a big meeting. They were told to do all that is written up, do not complain, and do not converse with the pilots.

With that being said, it appears they are approaching this at a different angle.

This morning, with the passengers all boarded and ready for an on time departure, a mechanic comes up and says he needs to do a daily inspection. But this was no normal inpsection. They made us deboard the entire aircraft. They went thru the plane like a fine tooth comb. Checking every light bulb, potentially corded tires, first flight of the day checks, etc... Needless to say, we left 1.5 hours late.

It appears their strategy is to tackle each plane entirely on the daily inspections, in hopes nothing else can be found by our pilots.. Hopefully they don't know all the secret no go items..

Oh gee, sounds like what an airline SHOULD be doing. But it'll last about a week and then be back to letting everything slide until it breaks.

I see. So is your goal to be late on purpose? Thats the havoc? How hard is that? You should all be fired for gross negligence.
Oh, and on behalf of all the pax who missed their connecting flights, thanks. Another reason to fly mainline...more mature pilots.

Our goal is to fly safe. If maintenance would correct and fix problems, there would be nothing to write up. Go back to your Microsoft Flight Sim and practise your approaches so you can get hired at Mesa.

Why do you keep responding to ASA threads if you are so tired of seeing them?

Good luck guys. There are always going to be a few out there like this guy, but 99% of us support you.

Why do you say the mechanics are striking back? Did they not just have the aircraft deboard? They aren't the happiest of people these days either.

Of course all the whiney pilots will support you. But you guys forget that ASA and any other airline is not in business so you can have a job. Its there to accomodate the passengers and make a profit. The second an airline shows a profit, you pilots are the first in line with your hands out asking "wheres mine?"
And as for MS Flight Sim...Once I can shoot an approach and only crash half the time, Im thinking I may apply to ASA. (Flying MS Sim is harder than the real Cat II's I used to fly.)

Laughing, I see that your parents didn't have any kids that lived.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning, you know that gasoline smell. Smells like.....VICTORY !!!

Another reason for you to wise up: Who do you think regional pilots got the idea from?

Bingo. Mainline.
Just because you cant formulate an original idea on your own dosent mean your maturity level and experience is superior to a mainline pilot. At least when they have a legitimate complaint, they dont try to ruin the airline.
(This is getting fun!)

OK. Why don't you give me an example. Or are you just making stuff up.

Also, tell me how we don't have a legitimate complaint, and how this is any different from, say, United 2000...except that we're asking for an iota in comparison to what the guys at United managed to negotiate.

How dare you question Sawmill, Po and Ho! His superior intellect obviously allowed him to figure out the entire airline industry, as well as learn it's entire history, in the short amount of time he was with an airline, and after all, he did used to shoot Cat II's.
