I hear the mechanics had a big meeting. They were told to do all that is written up, do not complain, and do not converse with the pilots.
With that being said, it appears they are approaching this at a different angle.
This morning, with the passengers all boarded and ready for an on time departure, a mechanic comes up and says he needs to do a daily inspection. But this was no normal inpsection. They made us deboard the entire aircraft. They went thru the plane like a fine tooth comb. Checking every light bulb, potentially corded tires, first flight of the day checks, etc... Needless to say, we left 1.5 hours late.
It appears their strategy is to tackle each plane entirely on the daily inspections, in hopes nothing else can be found by our pilots.. Hopefully they don't know all the secret no go items..
