i thought that they require a two year contract is that still going on and is that after your checkride.
Hi!
If U were a real freight dog, you wouldn't be UP for breakfast.
It is much too bright at that time of the day. That big shiny yellow thing up in the sky will burn out your eyes.
If you HAVE to be up that time of the day, stay indoors with all your curtains closed, or, better yet, just stay in your coffin 'til it's dark. It's much safer.

And chase the setting sun going the other way!Actually in long haul freight, sometimes you takeoff during the day, watch the sunset, fly all night, and watch the sunrise in the morning.
Gemini is hiring, mostly to replace the pilots who are leaving for Fedex, UPS, JetBlue, SWA, CAL, Airtran, etc. Heck, they've had guys leave class before their checkride!
They are parking some DC-10's and will probably be down to 4 DC-10's and 4 MD-11's by the end of the year. Rumors say hiring will continue through the rest of the year.
If you want to be a Freight Dog, jump on in. Just don't forget that the above mentioned places are also hiring.
You might be a Freight Dog if:
You feel that breakfast is the most important beer of the day!
Yes, they're still hiring. I guess I should say "we" now, cause I started Indoc here last week. DO told me they just held interviews for the next class. Yeah, bodies on the list below me! He also repeated what fedora said that we're planning to continue hiring thru the end of the year. About 1 class of 6 per month. That's the plan anyway.

Are all newhires going to the MD11?
Probably already covered, but how many days off per month for a newhire would be likely? Also, would anyone care to list a few of the MD11 destinations? I imagine you would see a lot of the world.......
They are hiring for the MD-11. Days off are 16 days on and 14 off. On the MD-11 you will see schuduled flying in EU,Africa and India. Have fun
A guy in my class at GAC got back-to-back 18 day trips right out of IOE - 36 days in a row in Africa.
When he got home his wife met him at the door and said Me or The Job. He resigned that day.
That schedule is the reason I won't be applying. How can you even contemplate having a family life? 16 days is waaaaay too long. Sure, I know that Atlas has longer trips - something like 21-25 days in a row. I note that UPS doesn't have super long trips like that but it can be impossible to get on with UPS - that's the catch.

Is the Chief Pilot still MA?
Is it possible to make more than guarantee on the MD-11 at Gemini? When you go out, are your trips all international or do you go back and forth thru the US a few times? Thanks for any info

Do they prefer a paper resume or an emailed one?
Also, is there that many guys leaving that they need to hire that much?
