Does anybody know for sure when the first decission board is going to meet for those of us that interviewed in March. I had heard April 10 which is a Tuesday. How soon after are the calls made or the letters sent out? Thanks!

Talking about it doesn't make it happen any faster. Exercise your virtue and enjoy your Easter weekend.

I was in the March 6th DB. Got a call the following week. April 25th class. Good Luck!!

Coo. I am a JAN interview guy awaiting class, but I didn't have the type at the interview. A good friend is in your class, you guys will have a great time. Wish I was going to be there too. Guess you'll just have to throw us a really good party:)

I think the pool is still fairly large. I got the type a month ago after already passing the interview in the FEB board and I am still looking at mid June as per the PD. His turn around was much quicker because he had the type at the interview, and thus was placed in the pool immediately after his DB (at least this is how I understand the process).

The board for all of the guys who interviewed in March is going to take place April 10'th. That is firm. A friend of mine got hired a year ago and it took them 9 days to call him. And for all of you out there, it does not matter if they call all or none of your references. There is no telling how they do it.
A friend of mine got hired and had none call, another had none called and didn't get hired. Another had all called and got hired, however another had all called and did not get hired.

You figure it out.

Yes, they met yesterday. Calls should be going out sometime between now and end of this week.

Just Wondering...

Anyone know if they do call, would they leave a message or do they keep trying until they talk to you?

After the last DB, I was called with no messages left until I answered. They were just calling to let me know my background check didn't get completed, and that they were going to include me in the next DB. Based on that, I'm guessing they'd try to give you the great news personally instead of leaving a message.

Good Luck,
BS

When they call it is with a "private" or "unknown caller" ID. I know a guy from the last thread who did get a voicemail with a number to call. Good luck!!

My wife is worried that she might have deleted an email invitation for an interview.

Nah, only put the app in a month ago, too early to be called without a type. Besides, if they are looking at jacka$$es like you, why would they want an a$$hole like me?

;)

No, your wife is right. When I interviewed, Diane Morton asked me why you didn't respond. I said you were too busy trying to start a union at JetBlue to take time out of your busy schedule to talk to a bunch of people with no tv's in the back of their jets...

Hmmm...I wonder why I haven't gotten a phonecall yet... :-p

I'd take more time to respond, but I am in a meeting with the Chief Pilots -- we are currently discussing the "Bob Sacamano" problem.

:p

In Dallas at the moment for recurrent. Met with our new VP Flight Ops this week (super nice guy btw)
At this weeks DB, They hired 84 out of the 220 interviewees up for the board - a much larger percentage than we normally hire, which was historically 1 in 10.
Congratulations in advance!!

38 % = Cool

This is not always true. I got the call two years ago from the MDW Chief Pilot. He used his cell phone. That showed up on my caller ID.

FWIW

Do the chief pilots usually make the calls? And has anyone ever been called on the weekend?

Getting a little desparate on Friday pm
