Read the article again and see that it was nonstop from CVG to HNL----10 hours nonstop. That requires 3 pilots minimum. Our flights to Tokyo and Mumbai (Bombay) have 4 pilots on them. That means someone can be in the back and the others are safe. You may never see that at SWA.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Fair enough. I did not look at the to-from waypoint. "You may never see that at SWA"......never say never....RD

ROFLMAO about the General Lee comment....

Professional? Maybe not - funny? Hell yes!

Hey, I was just joking. But, it is unlikely you will have 4 man crews on your 737s.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Correct, but we will have four man crew on our 787's. Someday...

Since your regional does not fly long distances, let me explain. Flights over 8 hours have a relief pilot. It was the relief pilot who confronted the passenger. You see, the relief pilot eats a meal, takes a nap, does some light reading etc. as the heavy, of which you have what, three, makes its way across the ocean, a big body of water larger than Lake Michigan or Lake Havasu for you West girls and lands at a far away destination. Maybe when you get the big airbuses from Air Canada you will figure all this out.

PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

737

Hey Retards.... He left the cockpit.... He left the cockpit.... Relief pilot or not HE LEFT THE COCKPIT TO QUELL THE DISTURBANCE. Now, unless he was in an airlock between the flightdeck and the cabin he totally F'd up.

What about Able bodies? How many FA's did they have on that 767?

YGBSM, WTFO!

Hell even us regional guys at AWA know better than to leave the cockpit when there is a disturbance.

EXACTALLY Grog!!!! This is why I don't answer dummies like 800dog and noserider because they can't read...

Now as for johnsonrod go back and read some of the classy insults from DAL pilots then come back:rolleyes: !!!!

WD.

If the article had said "the pax hit the pilot and he started crying and spotted" then it couldn't be the general, it was 73private.

Just to clear things up.......

If I wanted any lip out of you sport, I'd have scraped it off my zipper.
Now get back to turns around a point junior!
Your 1pm long cross country should be here any minute!

737

Correct, but we will have four man crew on our 787's. Someday...

Well, at that time DL will have Space Shuttles and I will be senior enough to hold the Moon turn or Mars 17 day trip. Someday.....

Bye Bye---General Lee

Why the hell are we even remotely questioning the pilot and why are we discussing sensative information in a public forum. The last time I checked our new policy in dealing with airborne threats was not something you discussed with joe shmoe.

If anything we should be laughing are butts of about the nic fitting *itch who couldn't wait to smoke. I think Delta relief pilots should get hazardous duty pay for vacation destination flights.

9/11 taught us all not to go in the back for a disturbance. I suspect this pilot was already in the cabin. The pilot would NOT have left the flight deck to confront anyone.

Why the hell was he off the flight deck??????????

My dad's stronger than your dad.

This is why we should have smoking sections on airplanes.:pimp:

Wa, touch a nerve?

You guys are so easy to screw with.

Go put on your double Breasted ego flak jacket and strut down the terminal with that scowl on your face and tell yourself "I'm flipping gear like a true professional"

That should make you feel better.

But of course, another oral sex fixation from 73, what a suprise.

Sorry, I don't date pilots!

So are you girls:)

LOL! Is that how you strut through the mall with your leather jacket telling all the 13 year old boys about your c-150 time!?

That should make you feel better.
So does some alone time with your sister!

But of course, another oral sex fixation from 73, what a suprise.
See the above comment about your sister!

Later CFIT,

I heard the real story is 737pylon followed some female passenger into the bathroom. When he tried showing her his short cigarette she began laughing so hard it was mistaken for a hysterical fit. Man, you just can't trust the news to get anything in aviation correct.

Maybe not but you in fact will see over $100,000 during your second year at SW!

I have seen over $100,000 a year since our 777 agreement in '99. Even with our pay cut, I have been able to squeeze out well over $100,000 a year. I could hold MD88 Captain now, but I am waiting for the 737-800, then I will go to the 757/767 Captain, then the 787, etc. I will see a lot more than Lubbock, TX too in my career.

Don't forget how many times you'll see chapter 11.

Bye Bye

Steven:
We're already doing better than your company's combined 3 trips into chp.11!
Oh, I forgot, you're not on the seniority list...........CHA CHING!

I know the guys that used to be on your MEC hear from Mars on a regular basis, but as usual they have failed to consider, Shuttles will be operated by Shuttle America, because they have less than 76 seats, don't fly between hubs and don't weigh very much.

You and I will both be too experienced for those positions because according to Captain Kirk you have more than 200 hours and you have not been hired, then you must be a loser.

Live Long, Save for your Retirement, NaNu NaNu.... By then I will probably be running a clapped out Beech 1900 to VLD,MCN,CSG and CHA after Delta figures out running a 4,000PPH, 20 something million dollar, jet on regional routes is, well, kinda not profitable.

I can see the the admiration for 73private runs real high.

My guess is that 73 has "little boy" complex, I wonder if he is over 5' with platform soles?

Classic. I believe USAir will see it first, and soon with the CEO running the ship. You guys will believe anything he says, and he is drunk half of the time. Crazy.

Are you still on the BRO at SkyWest? How's that working out for you?

What I found interesting about the news article was that it mentioned that smoking is a federal crime, but failed to mention that assaulting a member of the crew is also a (more serious, I would think) federal crime. I'm not a 121 pilot, just a little 91/135 guy, but I do know that it's a federal offense to interfere with a crew member--the FBI responds to such allegations--and the lawyer in me would guess that punching a member of the flight deck crew (while simultaneously smoking illegally) would be an "interference" within the meaning of the statute. Just a (hopefully educated) guess.
