They said 439 by the end of the year at the interview.

So if I get this right they will be in position to put new hires into class after the return of all the furloughs sometime in May. Considering there are only 7 months left in the year they would need to be putting out over 62 new hires per month. Thats over 10% of the pilot group per month.

If this is your first airline get used to being lied to.

All furloughs will have started retraining class by April 9... The first new hire class I believe is being scheduled for April 24ish

I'm a "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of guy.

Not when it comes to the airlines! Listen to these folks. It's why I'm staying away from Mesa. I don't want to 'believe it when I see it'... I DONT want to see it. The Mesa folks have seen it, told me about it, and that is good enough for me. I don't want to discover the Mesa abuse for myself.

You may have an opinion about Mesa, but one of my past instructors flew for them, upgraded quick, and is now a 777 F/O at AA.

Everytime he reads your posts about Mesa, he smiles and believes you make a complete fool of yourself each time you post something/anything about Mesa!

I'd rather have my dignity of not getting bent over and then forced to work one of my 8 days off, while the company asks me to skip my wife's cancer therapy session* so I can come in and work a flight they couldn't staff due to their incompetence. Thanks, though!

I am pretty sure the mesa he worked for and the mesa now are pretty different. AA hasn't hired off of the street for some time not to mention all of the furloughs out there.
